My Crafty Space

Hallo, da bin ich wieder,endlich.

Ich war ja so lange weg vom Fenster, weil ich umgezogen bin.

Das ist aber auch ein Grund, warum ich euch nochmals mein Bastelzimmer zeigen kann.

Denn bereits Ende März 2014 hatte ich euch gezeigt, wo ich meine Kreativität auslebe.

Nun bin ich aber umgezogen und habe endlich mein eigenes kleines Bastelreich. 

Ich bin darüber so glücklich.

Und mein neues Bastelreich möchte ich euch heute zeigen.

Hi, I'm back again - finally.

I wasn't here for such a long time because I've moved.

Well, that is also the reason why I can show you my crafty space again.

This year, end of March, I have shown you already, where I craft.

But now, after my move, I have finally my own little crafty room. I'm so happy with it.

And today I wanna show you my new crafty space.

Achtung, jetzt kommen gaaaaanz viele Fotos. Wer darauf also keine Lust hat, besser weiter hoppen. ;o)

Wie gesagt, es ist fast fertig.

Es ist noch nicht alles eingeräumt, manches muss noch sortiert werden,

die Kisten müssen noch beschriftet werden und es fehlen auch noch Gardinen am Fenster etc.

Aber zumindest ist es ein Anfang und wenn ich die letzten Kartons noch ausgepackt und verstaut habe, 

dann kann ich auch endlich wieder basteln.

First I have to say sorry for so many pictures coming now.

Well, it isn't finished yet. Curtains are missing, boxes have to be labeled.

Maybe I have to sort again, because it's not the right place for everything.

But it's a beginning and the main thing is, I can finally craft again.

Wie ihr seht ist das Zimmer etwas verwinkelt......auch auf der anderen Seite.

Aber so ist irgendwie die ganze Wohnung. Überall sind Ecken oder schräge Wände.

I really love my expedit-(Kallax)-shelves from Ikea.

Auf dieser Seite ist der Bastelplatz.

Ich hab 2 meiner Esszimmerstühle dafür genommen. Ein Stuhl mit Rollen wäre mir zwar lieber,

aber diese Stühle haben eh keinen Platz im  Essbereich, so dass ich sie ganz gut zweckentfremden kann.

Eine kleine Computerecke braucht man natürlich auch. ;)

Nur ein kleiner Fernseher fehlt noch. Der kommt dann irgendwann.

Certainly my own created shelves of grey chipboard have their place.

Bei Ikea gab es eine Bilderleiste, die ich für ein paar Karten angebracht habe.

Natürlich habe ich viel, viel mehr Karten von euch allen bekommen, 

aber leider passen nur ein paar auf die Leiste.

Da muss ich halt immer auswechseln.

Ein paar meiner Stanzen haben es an die Bygel-Leiste geschafft.........

Praktisch sind auch die Alex-Schränke von Ikea mit all ihren Schubladen.

Meinen Arbeitsbereich habe ich inzwischen ein wenig geändert.

Und zwar habe ich mir meine Copics doch direkt auf den Tisch geholt. 

Es ist zwar wenig Platz, aber zum Colorieren ist es doch sehr viel praktischer.

I have took my copics and put right onto my table.

It's so much more practical, even though now it's less space on my table. 

Nun geht's los mit dem Colorieren. 

Und ich höre eigentlich immer Musik dabei.

Was macht ihr? Auch Musikhören? Fernsehschauen oder habt ihr es lieber ganz ruhig?

My craft space

Hello everyone!
This is me today and I will give you a little glimpse into my space where I create my cards.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Ich bin heute hier, um Euch einen kleinen Einblick in mein Bastelzimmer zu geben, in dem meine Karten entstehen.

Okay, I already gave you an overview of my room last year, so I am just linking this previous post, that can be found HERE.

Okay, eigentich habe ich Euch mein Zimmer schon letztes Jahr gezeigt. Darum verlinke ich Euch diesen Post - HIER könnt Ihr Euch den Beitrag ansehen.

I put up all the furniture a little over a year ago, when we moved in our new home. But well, even if it lookes perfect, we crafters know that there's always something that could be better. Or that we need to find new storage ideas for all the new stuff we all have to buy... ;)
So I am adding three pitures of things that I've changed or added to my room.

Ich habe mein Zimmer vor etwas über einem Jahr eingerichtet, als wir in unser neues Heim gezogen sind. Aber naja, aucvh wenn es damals perfekt aussaht, wir Bastler wissen doch alle, dass es immer was zu verbessern gibt. Oder dass wir uns neue Aufbewahrungsideen einfallen lassen müssen, z. B. für all die neuen Dinge, die wir trotzdem immer kaufen müssen... ;)
Darum habe ich hier zusätzlich noch 3 neue Bilder von Dingen, die ich verändert habe oder die neu in mein Reich eingezogen sind.

 Let's start with this picture. Well, it don't looks much different from last year's picture - but do you notice the little frames I added to the doors?
I don't remember how many doors I opened until I found what I've been looking for. So I've been looking for a solution of this problem. And I came up with those small metall labels that had enough space in them to put an overview of what was behind the door in it. And that makes life so much easier, especially if you're looking for something you don't use often.

Fangen wir mit diesem Bild an. Auf den ersten Blick ist da kein Unterschied zu dem Bild von letztem Jahr - aber könnt Ihr die kleinen Rahmen auf den Türen erkennen?
Ich weiß nicht mehr, wie viele Türen ich jedesmal öffnete, bis ich das gefunden hatte, wonach ich suchte. Also bin ich auf die Suche nach einer Lösung für dieses Problem gegangen und fand diese kleinen silbernen Rahmen, in denen genug Platz war um auf jede Tür einen Überblick dessen, was sich hinter der Tür verbirgt, zu kleben. Und das macht das (Bastel-)Leben so viel einfacher, besonders wenn man nach etwas sucht, das man eher selten verwendet.

 Before I had all my dies in file folders but it got so confusing and there were several dies I had that I never used, just because I forgot I had them.
Then I found this Clip It Up in a local craftstore. I have all my thin dies sorted in clear acrylic bags. There are those black plastic dividers, that come with the storage system. First I thought about labeling them by brand but then I decided to sort them by theme, like winter and christmas, flowers, frames, nesting dies... Finding a special die is as easy as 1-2-3 now, and if I don't know exactly what I want to use I can browse through the bags as inspiration.

Früher hatte ich meine Stanzen in Ordnern aufbewahrt. Aber das wurde so unübersichtlich und es gab einige Stanzen, die ein nutzloses Dasein fristeten, ganz einfach weil ich vergessen hatte, dass sie da waren.
In einem Bastelladen fand ich dann dieses Clip It Up. Nun sind alle meine dünnen Stanzen in Plastikbeuteln - A5-Prospekthüllen und Kartensammelhüllen, die ich in Streifen geschnitten habe - sortiert. Zusammen mit dem Ständer kommen diese schwarzen Plastik-Unterteiler. Zuerst hatte ich vor, sie  nach Hersteller zu sortieren, habe mich dann aber umentschieden und so sind sie nun nach Thema geordnet, z. B. Winter & Weihnachten, Blumen, Rahmen, Nesting Dies... Eine spezielle Stanze zu finden geht nun super-schnell und falls ich mal noch nicht genau weiß, was auf eine Karte passen könnte, dann blätter ich einfach durch die Hüllen und finde meist schnell etwas passendes.

And then also I got one of those kitchen wagons from a swedish company... It is so great to store all those little things you always use in it. I have it standing next to my chair while crafting and so I don't have to get up to get a special tool or my markers. And when I don't need a tool anymore I can quickly put it back where it belongs what also helps to avoid some of the chaos on my craft desk and leaves me more room for working.
I also took it with me to a craft meeting with friends. And even transporting it wasn't a problem. So I didn't have to pack many things and had everything with me.

Und dann habe auch ich mir einen dieser Küchenwägen aus dem schwedischen Möbelhaus besorgt... Der ist ideal, um all die kleinen Dinge aufzubewahren, die man immer braucht. Wenn ich bastel, dann steht er neben meinem Stuhl und wenn ich dann eine Schere o. ä. brauche, dann muss ich nicht aufstehen. Und wenn ich etwas nicht mehr brauche, kann ich es mit einem Handgriff wieder aufräumen. Das reduziert dann auch das Chaos auf dem Basteltisch verringern und habe dadurch mehr Platz zum Basteln auf meinem Tisch.
Ich habe den Wagen auch schon mit zu einem Basteltreffen mit Freunden genommen. Auch der Transport war kein Problem. Und so musste ich nicht viel einpacken und hatte trotzdem alles dabei.

My Crafty Space

 

Hello everyone!
Today it is time for me to share my craft space with you and I have recently finished my whole room and I have to say I love to spend time in my craft room/office. Most of the furniture and decor in my room are from IKEA, which I think is a great and budget friendly option. They have plenty of furniture and storage solutions that work perfectly for craft supplies. 

Here is a view of my room from where I enter the room. In the front you can see my two Råskog carts where I store my Project Life materials and my Art Journaling stuff. 

Next to the carts are my work desk where I stand. In the different boxes under the desk is some materials and tools that I use a lot while crafting.

And to the right of my desk (which is in the center of the room) is a shelf unit where I store some random stuff and my albums.

Here is a photo of the shelf unit (Expedit from IKEA) where I store my albums, some random stuff and things I have an extra copy or two of.

Next to the Expedit unit I have an Alex drawer unit. I use this as my die cutting station:

On the left side of my work desk I have another Expedit unit on top of a drawer unit. Here I store my most used cardstock, Tim Holtz stamps and some other random stuff. I also have a few binders with different inventory solutions so I can easily keep track of the stuff I own. In the blue boxes I store stencils, alphabet stickers and other stickers. I also have some extra albums here that didn't fit in the other shelf. And inside the top drawers I store all of my chipboard pieces and alphabets:

In the left drawer I store my clearstamps and my thin dies. I use Avery Elle stamp storage pockets to store my stamps. They are sorted in alphabetical order and by company, but I still need to make dividers for them. The dies are stored by theme in plastic CD pockets. I also store my clear blocks in this drawer:

In the right middle drawer I store some stamps from gel-a-tin since I didn't want to remove them from their tins and put them in storage pockets. I also store my inks, stamp cleaners and other often used stuff in there. Here is a closeup of the drawer:

The final drawer in this unit is used to store stamp inks and reinkers:

Here is the office part of my room and this is where I spend the most time. Here I have my computer, my printer and all of the office and gaming related stuff that I need for work and for gaming. (I play loads of computer games).

On the right side of my computer is my printer and my Silhouette (yes I do have the first one they released, but it works just fine). In the drawers and cabins underneath is stuff for my computer and all of the office supplies and gaming equipment. (I still haven't had the energy to put the handles on the doors and drawers, but I'll get there eventually).

On the left side of the computer is a spot for my sewing machine. This is also where I take all my card photos.

In the corner is a shelf unit with this spinning wheel in it. I store random embellishments and extra Project Life cards here.

Ok, so lets turn around and face the door where we entered the room. Here you can see my work desk from the other side and here I have two chair where I can sit and work and have friends over. I also covered my desk with paper so I don't ruin the desktop when painting. I'll paint the top of the desk with the same color I have on the floor when I get the time. Here you can see my somewhat temporary Copic Marker storage too.

I store my Copic Markers in old (clean) cat food containers. They are sorted by color.

Closest to the door is an old shelf unit that we had in out living room before. I "stole" it and now I use it to store some random items and extra materials that I have. I also have two DVD units next to it where I store all of my cling mounted stamps (except the Tim Holz ones which I store in the large Expedite shelf).

In the bottom cabin I store extra journals, all of my papers, materials for shipping and some extra cardstock.

And finally I have a small shelf next to my door where I store my stickles, liquid pearls and Distress Markers and other colored pens. (Yes I did spell liquid wrong on the photo, no idea where that e came from. Sometimes my hands work faster than my brain.)
