Die Light Wednesday

Hallo liebe Whiff of Joy Fans! Hier ist Kathrin und es ist wieder Zeit für unseren Die Light Wednesday, an dem wir Euch ein Projekt zeigen das (fast) nur mit den tollen Die-Lights von Whiff of Joy gemacht wurde.

Hello dear friends of Whiff of Joy! It's Kathrin here today doing another of our Die-Light Wednesday, which means we share a project made (almost) only using those amazing Die-Lights by Whiff Of Joy.

And so I made this card... I used browns and white for it which is such an elegant color combo and perfect for a pretty simple card. My card is about 13 x 13 cm in size, a white square that I matted with some dark brown cardstock, is the base of my card.
First I put down the Tiny Hearts cut out, cut from craft cardstock and with a strip of dark brown cardstock underneath the hearts.
Then I added the Berry Wreath which is the main element on my card.
The saying is one of 4 that come with the Pillow Box Die-Light. I matted this with some white cardstock for more contrast.
One of the leaves from the Leaves Trio Set is hiding under the big rose, together with some twine.
And I also sneaked in one little "image" - one of the great feathers by Stephanie Schütze. I stamped it on Vellum using Versamark, heat embossed it with white embossing powder and then cut around it with my scissors.

Mir selbst gefällt die Karte richtig gut, und sie war außerdem noch relativ schnell gemacht.
Lieben Dank für's Vorbeischauen heute!

I really like how this card turned out, and it was also made pretty quick.
Thank you for coming by today!

Kathrin

Make a Card Monday

 http://lillgumman.blogspot.se/
Hello everyone!
Today I am back for another Make A Card Monday project. Today I'll be sharing a pretty simple and easy to make card using the lovely paper pad from Whiff of Joy and some arrow dies.

To make this card I used a the arrow die and die cut it twice, once to the arrows pointed to the right and the second time to the left. The sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy and it is one of my favorite sentiments. It can really be used for any type of card. As a final touch I added some twine around the front panel and adhered the piece with foam squares. Unfortunately the color of the twine didn't really match the patterned paper, but it was the best I could find and it'll have to do.

Here is a closeup of the card:

I have also uploaded a tutorial video that you can find on my YouTube channel or here below.

So that was all for me today, I hope you liked my card and the video and if you want to get any of the products I used check out the complete supply list with links to the shop in the bottom of this post.

Wednesday Die-Light

 http://lillgumman.blogspot.se/
Hello everyone!
Erika Winterlia here again with another card tutorial for you. Today is Wednesday Die-Light and I'll be using the fun alphabet die set from the shop to make a very clean and simple card.

To make this card I used some distress inks and the alphabet die. Since the dies are made to cut out the whole letters I needed to place my cutting plates so that the bottom of the letters weren't cut. This way I got a panel with the letters on top. Behind the white panels I colored a piece of white cardstock using three different colors of distress inks and water.

Here is a closeup of the card:

I have also uploaded a tutorial video that you can find on my YouTube channel or here below.

Make a Card Monday with Erika

 http://lillgumman.blogspot.se/
Hello everyone!
I'm Erika Winterlia and this is my first post as a Whiff of Joy DT Member. I am so happy to be a part of this team and I am really excited to share this weeks Make a Card Monday post with you. I have made a card using various products from the shop and I hope you like the card as much as I do.

To make this card I used a few different dies, some stamps and patterned paper from the shop. I also added some enamel dots and glossy accent for some extra interest. I love to make clean and simple cards with a bit of a distressed look to them and this card is an example of that style.

Here is a closeup of the card:

I have also uploaded a tutorial video that you can find on my YouTube channel or here below.
(And sorry about my strange voice and sound issues in todays video, think I might be getting a cold or something)

Tag, You're it Tuesday

***If you are looking for a BLOG HOP please follow this link***

Hello! Its Evgenia Petzer with you with my first post over WOJ blog, i am so excited to join this theme and though i usually don't color the cute images, i still hope to inspire you by using other WOJ products.

While I was browsing our FaceBook group, i came across this cute creation by Tanja Logar.

I was inspired bt the color combo, by the central composition, by using the kraft and by the the theme itself...
So here is what I came up with.

By using the die I created that wreath

and some close ups:

Stamped the sentiment with versafine sepia color

Thank you so much for your attention, have  a great day everyone!

Evgenia.

Snowburst Die-light tutorial

This month I want to show you how to correctly diecut the fab new Snowburst die from Whiff of Joy.
It is such a fun die to use and has such lovely details, I love to use it and will use it often in the future.
It has so much possibities, you can use the diecut in one piece, or cut them into several pieces to fit or even use single snowflakes. To me it is definately a must have Die-light.

I have the luxury of owning the Big Shot as well as the Vagabond and I will explain which layers to use.
The Cuttlebug owners can follow the same instructions as the Big Shot.
The difference is that the Big Shot is less heavier in handling transporting the sandwich of layers.

Before I explain the layering, I want to add that since it is a very detailed die, you need to transfer it through your diecutter several times.
Remember that the acrylic plates must at the same position when rolling it through the diecutting machine (especially with the Vagabond since the base plate is much larger than the acrylic plates).
Also, a thin metal plate is a must for diecutting, it will not cut so detailed when this isn't used.
If you do not have the metal plate, keep an eye on the Whiff of Joy store, they will be in stock shortly.

Lets start with the sandwich layering for the Vagabond
I layed out the layers there are in the sandwich that goes through the machine:
Acryl Plate
Base Adapter Plate
Thin Die Adapter Plate
Thin Metal Plate
Snow burst Die-Light
Paper
Acryl Plate

The sandwich layering for the Big Shot:
Base Adapter Plate (both tabs are used)
Thin Metal Plate
Snowburst Die-light
Paper
Two acryl Plates on top of eachother

Before we start diecutting, I always cut the excesive paper off
and I use Scotch tape to firmen the paper to the die:

Now use the diecutting machine, using these sandwich layers in the correct order.
Remember, using this die takes some effort, it does not diecut correctly the first time.
This is how it can look like after a first run through your die cutting machine:

As you can see, it is not cute out smoothly everywhere.
So, just twist the Snowburst die with paper 90 degrees and use the same sandwich layering again and roll it through your machine.
You can see it is still not cutted as good as your regular die cuts are:

So, we add another step to the die cutting proces.
This time we do not cut with the metal plate, but we use small stripes of regular cardstock or kraft paper instead.

This is the sandwich layering for the Vagabond:
Acryl Plate
Base Adapter Plate
Thin Die Adapter Plate
Snow burst Die-Light
Paper
Acryl Plate
Stripes cardstock or kraft paper

This is the sandwich layering for the Big Shot:
Base Adapter Plate (both tabs are used)
Snowburst Die-light
Paper
Two acryl Plates on top of eachother
Stripes cardstock or craft paper

Now, we can start diecutting again.
This step you need to do several times also, although you do not move the die, but the stripes.
After these steps, the diecut should look like this:

You can see the fab detailing of the Snowburst Die-light.
Now remove the tape and the excessive paper:

Although several steps are needed with this die, I do think the endresult is definately worth it.
If you still have some diecutting problems, just twist the Die-light several times in the first sandwich step and roll it to the machine more times.

Last but not least, this is a creation I made with the Snowburst Die-light, for some inspiration :)
I covered the Snowburst Die-light with frantage embossing powder.

Well, I hope this tutorial was helpfull.
Happy crafting,
Untill next month.
Hugs,
Marion
