You're the STAR of my life !

Goodmorning everyone!

how is going?

it's Alberto here to show you a little tag i have made to inspire you!
i have printed this amazing digital image from whiff of joy and colored it with prismacolors pencils.

Tha base of the tag is a Tim holtz die. The papers are from magnolia and so are most of the dies i have used.

Here is the tag:

Some pearls, a doily lace, some ribbons and laces and the tag is done.
All around the image i have used some white frantage to give and the creation a little vintage/shabby chic effect.

What you think about?
you can find more infos and photos on my blog

Pocket Card with Cosy Reading

Hello everyone, I have a pocket card to share with you today, I teamed it up with Simply Maya's 'Cosy Reading'.

This tag slots into the pocket card and can be used as a book marker, so this adorable image 'Cosy Reading' is perfect for this card.

This is the pocket card completed, it is really fun and easy to make.

Cut kraft cardstock 110mm x 280mm, score at 140mm and score again at 240mm.

Fold along the score lines and it should look like this.

Cut one piece of patterned paper 105mm x 135mm, one piece 105mm x 95mm and one piece 105mm x 35mm. Round the corners as shown below and ink edges.

Round the corners on the pocket card, adhere pieces of patterned paper and attach seam binding. Cut the Die-Lights  'Lovely Doily' in half, ink edges and adhere. Adhere button twine and flower.

To make the tag, cut kraft cardstock 85mm x 120mm and round the corners. Cut patterned paper 80mm x 115mm, ink edges and adhere. Finish tag off with 'Cosy Reading' image, lace, button twine and a button.

I hope you enjoyed this today and thank you for stopping by, have a lovely day!

Magnetic Bookmark

Hello everywhere, I am sure you have already seen our new 'Monthly Project Theme', this month was Bookmarks.

So with school about to start and January's release being for boys I decided to create some bookmarks for my boys. I am going to share with you my quick and easy bookmark, it looks pretty simple but is especially great for kids!

You will need some cardstock, patterned paper, Whiff of Joy coloured image 'Astronaut Henry', border punch and magnetic tape.

Cut cardstock 80mm x 160mm, score along the length at 70mm and fold.

Punch border along the bottom.

Cut patterned paper, stitch edges and adhere to the front. For the inside, cut patterned paper, punch a border along the bottom and adhere.

Adhere your stamped image and finish off with stars, mini tag and sentiment.

Cut a atrip of magnetic tape, approximately 50mm long and adhere to the inside of your bookmark.

Cut another strip of magnetic tape and place on top of the strip you have just adhered.

The reason I am doing it this way, is because I find the the magnetic strips don't perfectly align so by doing it this way you can see where they 'meet'.

Then you simply close your bookmark and the top magnetic strip will adhere to the top.

These are also great to add to birthday cards for an extra little something!

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial today and remember you can create magnetic bookmarks in a variety of shapes, all you need to do is add some magnetic tape!

- Adhesive pearls and an adhesive pearl swirl
- Paper flowers
- Whiff of Joy Twine
- Heart metal charm

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today with a tutorial to show you how to make an corner bookmark decorated with the adorable Henry. This is a great project to use up your leftover scraps to make a gift to match your cards.

Materials needed:
Henry with large bow stamp
Colouring Medium (Promarkers, copics, pencils)
Patterned papers
Plain card and kraft card
Lace
Sentiment stamp
Small flower and stick on pearl
Paper trimmer, craft knife, ruler, double sided tape
Scoring tool, Bone folder, glue

To make the bookmark:

1. Cut a piece of kraft card to measure 4 inches by 5 inches

 2. Make a small mark with pencil in the middle of one long side and a
mark on both short sides 2.5 inches from the top

 3. Score and fold a line between the mark on the long side and the marks on the
short side to create a point

 4. Cut a square of red card to measure 8.7x8.7cm and cut in half diagonally to create two triangles. Cut a square of patterned paper slightly smaller and cut the same and layer onto plain cardstock.
Cut a rectangle of red card to measure 12.3x3.6cm and layer a piece of patterned paper on top leaving a small border. Sew around the edges.

 5. Fold the scored edges down and stick one triangle on top using double sided tape.

6. Turn the bookmark over. Add the other triangle on the top.
Wrap the rectangle with lace and stick beneath the triangle.

7. Decorate your bookmark with a sentiment, flower and the coloured in Henry image.
Make sure you keep your embellishments flat so it sits nicely in a book.
