Altered Jar

Hello , hope you're coming along nicely on your Christmas preparations .

Each year I try to get made some homemade Christmas gifts.

And last year one of my Aunts said I may never stop making them as she has started an collection of them, so it's nice to see their appreciated too♥

This year my husband had sprayed me  some Jam jars after I went and picked up some gold spray,

I think he prefer to spray them for me so I don't make a mess in his tool room.. But shhh don't tell him I said so..

Tutorial Thursday

Hello Maria Therese here today and I have a very easy tutorial for you today that will be nice for your Christmas projects..

I want to show you how to make beautiful shabby snow for your Christmas/Winter projects

This is what you need:

Some white paint 

Plastic Foil 

and what ever you want to make snowy effects on..

You will crunch the plastic foil in a little ball , dip it in the paint with a easy hand so you don't get too much at your plastic foil at a time , better to go back and dab on more than to end up with a solid white where you place the paint..

Here I have started to dab it along the edge of my paper bag , 

be sure to have something under the bag so you don't ruin your table..

My bag after it's done. Don't be in a hurry make sure it's all dry before you start playing and adding your stuff on..

Wednesday Die-Light , preparing for Christmas...

Hello everyone, Maria Therese back with some Whiff of Joy inspiration .

My theme this month was wednesday die-light and it didn't take me long to figure out what to make..

This is the first half of Tags for a Christmas calendar, and judging by the numbers it's not exactly half of 24 but half of 22 as two of the "tags" will be cards instead as the person getting these will have her birthday in December and also Christmas (24th ) will need to be a nice card.. 

So here's the deal , if you want to see the rest of the tags they will be on my own blog later this month and the two cards will be early next month ♥

I tried to make them all a bit different I also used the silent setter to make holes so I can put the tags on the little Calendar gifts

Scrap your stash

Hello Crafty girls and guys , hope you've all had a wonderful summer ♥

I am here with my monthly blog posting and this time I'm scrapping with my leftovers..

Which can often be a challenge as you mostly want to try out your new stuff!

So what I did was finding lots of leftover diecuts and stuff + some paper cut off's and had no idea what it would turn into when I was done..

as you can see by my card underneath not every little bit made the final cut but much of what I started with I used.. I was in a pink and white mood  and wanted to make something sweet..

And here is my finished project . It was really fun ♥

Tutorial Thursday - Making coffee tags

Hello everyone, having a fabulous summer??

Maria Therese here today to take you through a easy tutorial on how you can make those

 awesome brown coffee tags... 

At first I'll start off by showing you a decorated one, I'll go through the tutorial by explaining every picture and I have a few more tags decorated at the end..

I've decorated the tag with 

Star NESTED Die-Lights 

Hearts Die-Lights 

Crystals - Candy Pink

At first I start off by cutting up some tags I used the Large Nested Tag Die-lights and I used the two largest but it really depends on what your using them for what size you want to use. 

I used white Bazzill cardstock for my tags.

I used a spray can of water and some cheap instant coffee no need to waist the good one..

I sprayed the tags with water and sprinkled the coffee over and did this a few times until I felt the were covered enough..

I did the same on the other side , sprayed and sprinkled quite a few times..

and when they looked like this I even swirled them around on the matt to get them more greasy..

Over night I put them to dry...

And in the morning I had them looking like this...

Now there is another way to do it also..

But I feared the bazzill couldn't handle it but If you have a cardstock that is kind of coated you can fill a tray with water drop in half a jar off instant coffee and swirl around  until the coffee is dissolved in the water , out the tags in the tray, sprinkle a bit more coffee over and let it sit overnight and then let to dry..

Wednesday Die-Light

Good Morning , Maria Therese here with a new Wednesday Die-Light 

This time I made a tag using the largest of the new Large Nested Tag Die-lights ,
The largest one is both perfect to use by it self and to embellish a scrapbook page or a card!
I chalked the edges to warm it up, and used the new Charming Doily Die-Light
and Large Butterflies to layer the tag.
You can also make a hole at the top if you fancy and use this as a gift tag. That would be perfect for Christmas (never to early to start the Christmas tag production either..)

Altering a charm

Good morning everyone, Maria Therese back with a walk through tutorial on how to change the colours on your charms.

You need Charm's of course..

 And a spray that will adhere to metal , I use this silky matte one and I've also used it to spray on tin cans and even jam jar's so It will hold even with use..

Use a room with good ventilation and spray, I usually let it dry over night but drying time often is written on the spray box

 Turn around..Because unless you will glue the charm to the project your using it on you will want both sides to have the same colour.

 I use only one coat on each side but if your spraying cans or jars you will probably want two coats..

And here you have a tag with my finishes altered charms..

Hope you got a idea for more use of your charms and maybe with these it's easier to incorporate the charms to your projects. Good luck !

Hello Maria Therese here today with a scrapbook page 

First of all I want to apologize for the flash that went off in the photo I tried so many different ways to take picture of this layout so I hope you will forgive me.

I wanted to keep this layout simple not too many different papers as I wanted the photo and the embellishments to show in a nice way.

If you look to the right of the photo you see I used the cut out hearts from the pocket Page die-light together with the half pearls to create a confetti like sprinkle.
