Ground shading using Pencils & Stickles....

Morning all.....

Vicky here today and this month I'm going to let you into my little secret how I do ground shading...lots of fellow crafters have asked me how I do it...so here goes...and it's sooooo simples..lol..!

These are the items I will be using..

Sansodor Low Odour Solvent
Black Prismacolour Pencil
Stickles in Stardust
Paper Stub

I colour my chosen image in first...today I have used one of the new Digi Stamps from the Wedding collection "Groom Henry & Ring Bearer" which was released this month..

Then using my black Prismacolour pencil I add some shading beneath my image as shown above..

I then use my paper stub by dipping the end into the Sansodor and gently blending in the colour as you can see above...

I then attach the image to my card/project then add the stickles...be careful not to add loads...just enough to add a tad of sparkle by going over all the black pencil...simples...!

and here is my finished tag..

For more information please pop over to my blog here..

Thank you for stopping by...hope you like my very quick and simple tutorial..

and have a lovely day too...

big hugs Vicky xx

  6. Hi Vicky , great tutorial, I use a similar method but I tend to go for a very dark purple for shadows and grounding and instead of Sandor I use Lavender oil or baby oil to blend, then use stickles if needed. I will give this way a try, thanks for sharing, love Carole Lockhart Stuart.
