Henry Corner Bookmark tutorial

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today with a tutorial to show you how to make an corner bookmark decorated with the adorable Henry. This is a great project to use up your leftover scraps to make a gift to match your cards.

Materials needed:
Henry with large bow stamp
Colouring Medium (Promarkers, copics, pencils)
Patterned papers
Plain card and kraft card
Lace
Sentiment stamp
Small flower and stick on pearl
Paper trimmer, craft knife, ruler, double sided tape
Scoring tool, Bone folder, glue

To make the bookmark:

1. Cut a piece of kraft card to measure 4 inches by 5 inches

 2. Make a small mark with pencil in the middle of one long side and a
mark on both short sides 2.5 inches from the top

 3. Score and fold a line between the mark on the long side and the marks on the
short side to create a point

 4. Cut a square of red card to measure 8.7x8.7cm and cut in half diagonally to create two triangles. Cut a square of patterned paper slightly smaller and cut the same and layer onto plain cardstock.
Cut a rectangle of red card to measure 12.3x3.6cm and layer a piece of patterned paper on top leaving a small border. Sew around the edges.

 5. Fold the scored edges down and stick one triangle on top using double sided tape.
This is the back of your bookmark

6. Turn the bookmark over. Add the other triangle on the top.
Wrap the rectangle with lace and stick beneath the triangle.

7. Decorate your bookmark with a sentiment, flower and the coloured in Henry image.
Make sure you keep your embellishments flat so it sits nicely in a book.

Have a lovely Tuesday!
Jane

At Christmas I made them and sold them at a Christmas Fair, they went down very well.
Love the way you have used Kraft card, will try that now.
