Spellbinders Gift Box

Hello everyone its Colleen here today! I have a little gift box tutorial to share with you, using Spellbinders dies and one of the newly released stamps 'You Have Green Fingers'.

You will need Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels One, stamped image 'You Have Green Fingers', WOJ Picket Fence die, cardstock, patterned paper and flowers.

Cut two pieces of cardstock using the largest die.

Using the next size down of Labels One die, cut one piece of patterned paper. You should have two larger pieces of cardstock and one piece of patterned paper slightly smaller.

Cut two pieces of cardstock 11cm x 11cm and score at 1.5cm on all sides on both pieces.

Snip on score line on one corner on each side of both pieces of cardstock. It should look like this.

Adhere double sided tape on the corners and fold in to form your boxes.

Adhere double sided tape on the bottom of the boxes.

Take one of the boxes and adhere to one of the large pieces of cardstock to form the bottom of your gift box.

I find it easier to embellish the top of the box before putting it together. Adhere the patterned paper to the cardstock.

Adhere the picket fence, stamped image and finish off with some flowers and leaves. Now that this is complete you can adhere it to the second box. I find this step easier to do standing with the two boxes closed and lining the top piece with the bottom one.

This is a really fun box to make and can be done with a variety of Spellbinders and Whiff of Joy stamps, hope you enjoyed it!

  3. this looks like a fun project, but I have a question: if the boxes are the same size and scored at the same point they can't be used as a box and a lid - so why two? Thanks!
