Garden Door Hanger tutorial

Good Morning Everyone! Spring is nearly here and I (Jane) am hoping I will be able to get out in my garden soon to give it a tidy so I thought I would make myself a door hanger using the lovely Henry 'You have Green Fingers'.

To make the door hanger, you will need:

Henry 'You have green fingers' coloured in image
Whiff of Joy fence die
Whiff of Joy Butterfly die
Paper flowers
12x12 patterned paper
Distress ink
Wooden door hanger blank
Sanding block or emery board

To decorate the hanger:

1. Ink all the edges of the hanger blank with distress ink

2. Use the hanger as a template and draw around using a pencil

3. Cut out using scissors and a craft knife.

4. Stick cut out pieces to wooden blank using glossy accents.

5. Sand and ink around all the edges for a neater finish

6. Add letters and image to hanger tucking the fence die cut behind the image panel

7. Decorate the image with a Butterfly die cut and flowers

8. Tie some twine around the top of the hanger and finish with more flowers and gems

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial and will be inspired to give this a go with one of the lovely new Henry images released this month at Whiff of Joy.
