Hello and happy Easter! I wanted to show you a little and quick project fitted for this spring. I have tried some gardening... well not really yet gardening but I did plant some herb seed so that I can spice up my cooking with fresh herbs whenever I wish. So here's a tut on how to embellish your pots filled with herbs...or flowers for that matter.
So for this project you will need:
cardstock, wire, pliers, ink, sentiment stamp, tag die, crackle paint and of course some adhesive.
First cut the tag with your WoJ Sweet Tags with hearts.
Then stamp a sentiment onto some scrap cardstock and add some distress ink to the sides. I have ripped the other side and cut the other straight.
Now I have glued the sentiment into the tag and cut the excess off with scissors. I have also added some distress crackle paint onto the borders.
The tags would have been gorgeous as such but I decided to add a flower into them...so I stamped a flower with some brown ink and coloured with Promarkers. Then I cut the out and attached to the tags.
The tags needed a stick to hold them in the air so next twist your wire as you will.
Here are my herbs with their sticks. I have to confess I have cheated a bit and bought my rosemary from the shop...but small ones are basil and chives I have grown from seeds. It is interesting to follow the growth of something and it has actually become a sort of a play with me and my daughter to go check if there is any progress.
I also made a card to go with this project as I had this great gift idea...it would need a folder card though, but I thought some seeds and herb sticks would be a nice gift for just about anyone.
Here was the card alone. The image is from the 2010 February Stamp Kit - Birdie Love. Hope you liked my project.
Thanks for looking!
