Hello, i was recently asked how i used my corner punch on this card sample. . I thought this was a nice opportunity to use this email as inspiration for my monthly tutorial here on the Whiff Of Joy Inspiration blog.

I hope you will find this helpful. Lets get started… my choice of image for this card is Melinda who i adore.. thought this card is very pretty for a Mothers Day card or Thank you note.

Stamps: Whiff Of Joy “Melinda” by Elizabeth Bell
Papers: Basic Grey “Wisteria”
Embellishments: Pins, spacer and charms all by Whiff Of Joy
Copic Sketch Colors:
E:00, 50, 0000, 27, 25, 11, 000
B:91, 32, 93, 0000, Y: 0000, 21, 23, G: 0000, R: 20, W: 2, 0, 3 N0, C: 0

Supplies you are going to need to make the doily:

any colored cardstock
circle cutting system
any Martha Stewart corner punch

cut your circle from cardstock. Make sure you will cut a fairly big circle out.

Insert your punch so the triangle of the punch will lign up with the edge of your paper.

Note: the wings of the punch are closed

here is what the paper will look like after the first punch

the next step you will repeat all the way around your circle. I have tried to add some markings so hopefully it will become clear how to insert the punch.

You will lign up the left side of your space where the punch cuts with the *-marking and the tip of the triangle again along the edge of your circle. I have marked this with a x.

Here is how it will look when the punch is inserted – unfortunately I was not able to lift all the shadows out of the picture. Hopefully you will see more, when you click on the photo?!

This is how your doily will look half-way punched.

don’t worry if your pattern do not match 100% when you are at the end of your circle. You can always hide that seam with a ribbon bow or a big flower.
