This is my very first tutorial here at Whiff of Joy, and I would like to show you how I make
my head pins with pearls.
I love them as embellishments on cards.
my head pins with pearls.
I love them as embellishments on cards.
You can use them along with flowers, ribbons or just put them behind the card stock!
Here is what you need:
Head pins
(I have used the one you can buy at Whiff of Joy)
Pearls
Pincers
Glue
Oasis
Here is my tray with pearls.
Step 1:
If the head pin is crooked, use your pincer to straighten it.
Step 2:
Start with treading pearls on to the head pin.
Hold the last pearl on a little distance to the second last pear.
Step 3:
Add glue to the pin in between the two last pearls,
and now push the last pearl up to the rest of the pearls.
Step 4:
Stick the head pin up side down in the oasis, to allow the glue to dry.
I have covered the bottom of the oasis with plastic wrap so the green stuff don't get all over my papers and stamps.
And voila;
here are the head pins ready to go on a card!
Here is my finished card with the head pins as part of the flower decorations:
One last tip:
Making head pins with pearls, is a great activity in front of the TV ;o)
