Rotating Message Card . . . by Fran

Hi, it's Fran here. Thought I'd show you how I made this rotating message card using the Charlotte riding pigeon stamp set.  (All photos can be clicked on for a closer view)

Supplies:

• 'Charlotte riding pigeon' WoJ stamp set with the sentiments
• 5.75" card blank
• piece of dp 5.5 " and some coloured cardstock for matting (optional)
• white cardstock
• 1 mini heart brad (to match the heart necklace in the image)
• circle cutter
• SU tab punch or regular circle punch will do (to cut out the slot so you can rotate the messages)
• usual stamping and colouring mediums (mine is Memento ink & Copics), scissors, craft knife and few embellishements

Step by step:

1. Cut DP to 5.5 square, cut piece of white cardstock into a 5" circle - this will be your rotating mesaage panel. On the reverse of the DP, place circle in the middle, find the middle and pierce hole through both layers - this will be for your brad to hold them together.  Put to one side.

2.Stamp image onto white card, cut out the envelope with craft knife as shown, then cut around the whole image with scissors, leaving a thin border all the way around.

3.Pierce hole through the heart bit of the necklace in the image and align this up with the hole in the prepared dp so that once you put the brad in it will look like part of the necklace. Once happy with position, stick down.

4. Cut out the envelope bit to create the 'window' for your messages, then punch a section out as shown using SU tab punch or something similar

5.Colour in image. Then mat and stamp your messages onto the white circle prepared at the start.  I place my circle in situ, stamped 1 message, moved the circle around until I got another blank bit then stamped again until I filled it - managed to fit 4 messages on it.  I made them look like the original stamped image by drawing in the stamp and lines by hand.

6. Once happy with it all, add and close the brad and check your messages rotate around. Add DS tape to the back around the four corners making sure you keep the circle free to rotate.  Then on your card blank, punch out corresponding hole with the tab punch onto the front (as pictured) before adding your finished image & message onto it.

Then all that's left is any finishing embellies you may want to add to the front (I just added couple of punch out hearts and couple of pearls) and voila, 1 finished card . . .

Which when rotated will now show 4 different messages :) . .

and just as a finishing touch I couldn't resist adding the mini stamp on the inside (these are super cute and only available as a freebie for when you spend €50 or more)
