Swirly patterned flowers by Camilla

Hi there! I have made this card for you today. And now I want to show you how I made the flowers.
I wanted to use the beautiful Spring Swirls that Sonja has designed. To get a more elegant looking swirls I embossed them. You can view the result under.
For the punching I have used the retro flower punch in three different sizes, small, medium and large. To have a better control of what I punch out, I turn the punch up side down.
Now I can easely punch out how many flowers I want. Do I need more I just emboss more swirls:)
I think the flowers look better if I add ink to the edges. Here I have used weathered wood, but also walnut stain on some flowers aswell.
To get them more "alive" I use my brush, and roll them around. Like you can see on the photo under.
Here they are all inked and shaped.
I often use brads, pearls or paper roses in the middle of my flowers. Here I have used them all. And you can also see what I usually do to the rose string under. To make it curl up nicely.
Here are the flowers ready to be put on the card.
Doesen't they look nice?:)
All stamps and crown-charm are in the Whiff of Joy shop. And the Happy Mail Collection will be released the 9th.
Hope you got some tip from me today!
Hugs, Camilla.
