Supplies needed:
- 1 piece of A4 card to make the basic holder
- Scorpal or some other scorer/measurer
- WoJ image for the front. I've used 'Willow writing recipes' & colouring medium of choice
- patterned papers and embellies to decorate
- 2 brads & string to make fastner for your holder (I've added metal charm to the end of mine)
Take 1 A4 Sheet of card (choose a thickish weight)
1. along the long side from the left, score at 0.5" and 5.25":
2. flip it round then do the same from the other end so it looks like this: 3. then along the shorter side, score at 6" and 6.5":
4. turn it back to the long side as shown in photo and measure 0.5" in, either side of the middle section:
cut away the thin strip shaded in, fold along all score lines and cut as indicated in photo. If you then turn this around so the shorter folds are at the bottom you should have something like this . . .
Once all decorated, you just need to glue down the 2 small square flaps and then the side bit to form your pockets like this . .
To decorate:
To decorate:
1. Prep & cut all your pattern papers:
I used half sheet of double sided paper for mine plus some bits from a die cut accessory sheet (this is MME bloom & grow set) You will need 2 rectangles slightly smaller than 4.75" x 6" for the front & back panel and 2 just under 4.2"x6" panels for the spine (in & out). I've sponged all sides with 'tea dye' distress inks
2. Colour your image to match:

2. Colour your image to match:
I've used Copics in colours shown plus some I missed out: E000, E00, E21, for skin, E02 for cheeks. YR20, YR23, Yr24 for stool
3. Ready to start sticking! Click on photo for bigger view:
4. Now all that needs doing is to fold it all up and fold the 2 little flaps either side to make your 2 pockets.
That's it! All done. Here's my finished holder with views of inside with and without contents:
My sheets of note paper were just cheap A4 copier paper cut into 4. I just printed some matching clips and lines onto it first.
