Hello and a warm welcome to the Whiff Of Joy Tutorial and Inspiration site. My name is Claudia and i would like to show you today a tri-folded card or also as i was taught Aperature card.

To create the card base score your card stock at 4" and 8". Fold card and make sure to flatten the base with your bone folder
2) Sponge all your pre- cut design paper pieces with some ink to make them stand out against the card stock. As much as i love to layer my Design paper with contrasting paper, I do not recommend adding many layers with this card style, because it would get too difficult to cut though all the layers with the die cut machine and later on when closing the card.
Adhere all 5 sheets of design paper with glue to the card base, 1 to the front, 3 to the inside panels and 1 to the back side of your panel that's not going to be cut with a shape. This will become clearer with a photo i have added at the bottom of this posting.
Use any shape that suits your "Whiff of Joy" image to cut your window out. In my case i wanted to use Uru with Birdhouse
Here is a look of the inside - ready to be embellished. I am going to add next to the oval an other Whiff of Joy image and to the very right i am going to add my sentiment.
Here is a view of the card how it is going to be folded. I think now it has also become much clearer where to add all the Design papers to the card base.

Additional hint: Cut Snowflakes (or hearts when making a Valentines card) out and add Stickles to it. Than let dry while you color your images in.
Here is the front of finished card. I closed my card with some Stampin up Hardware and organdy ribbon. Around the oval i added Stickles to make it stand out more.
Simple finished inside. However.. next time i will make this style card i would skip the brads. I have found them too bulky.
And here is a shot of the entire inside of the card. Lots of space to write a note to the person you are sending your card to.
Thank you for your visit me here at the Inspiration blog.
