Doc Henry

Guten Morgen liebe Whiff of Joy Feunde! Heute ist Montag und somit unser 'Make a Card' Monday.

Hello and good morning dear Whiff of Joy friends. Welcome to another 'Make a card Monday'. I am glad to show you my newest card. I choose the theme 'Get Well' for my card. Sweet Doc Henry is perfect for it.

Here you can see a close up of the image. The coloration is made with Copics.

And below you can see another close up of the selfmade flower. I die cutted the set twice, created the flower with six parts. I just love it, this flower is a great accent on every project.

Easter Rosettes Tudorial and some small Easter inspirations

Hello!
It´s saturday and time to scrap your stash and see what you can do with all that stuff you have at home.
It´s my (Bianca´s) turn to show you some inspirations for it and I deside to make a lovely Easter Rosettes tudorial for you and show you some different ways how to use it. They are finished in no time and are looking absolutly fab!

You need:
* WoJ Stampinmage of your joice (mine is: Freshly Hatched)
* old bookpages
* some leftover papers, ribbons and beads (you can find a fine selection here)
*scoring board
* I have also used Nested Tag Die-light and Speech Bubbles Die-lights
*designerpapers and cardstock

Now you can fisnish your rosettes in 4 easy steps:

Step 1: Cut a pice of paper and score it in 1/4" ore 5mm steps
Step 2: Fold the paper like a wafe
Step 3: If it´s long enough (please make a test first!) build a ring
Step 4: Stick the image on it after the glue is try. This will fix everything.

That´s all you have to do!
Time for play with you Easter rosettes!
I have made a goody bag for easter sweets

a lovely tag for a birthday at easter time

and a flower stick for decorate my living room.

But of course there are 1000 more options for use this lovely rosettes!

Hope you like that little inspiration,
Happy Crafting with Whiff of Joy!

Color me happy friday

Hello everyone,

today I have another shaped card to share. Because in some weeks the spring will be there I made the card in bright colours. Yellow is one of my favorite colours and I thought blue is a perfect match to yellow.  I used some crackle paint on the papers and the die cuts. I like the shabby look.
I used a lot of Whiff of Joy cutting dies. I wrote a list at the end of this post.
I coloured the image with my Copics. Here I have a list with the colours I used.

Hair: E50-51-53
Skin: E0000-000-00-11-13
Cheeks: R20-22
Clothes: B00-02-23-24-26-28-29
          Y00-11-15-17-28-38
Cactus: G82-85-94-99

Tag, You're It Tuesday

Today is Tag, You're It Tuesday at Whiff of Joy!! Each Tuesday, one of the Whiff of Joy Design Team Members will find a creation from one of you and use that as her CASE to create from. Where do we find your projects? We look on the Facebook group, Pinterest, Instagram or those of you that are entering the Whiff of Joy challenges! If you are sharing a Whiff Of Joy project through social medias, please remember to tag with @whiffofjoy and we will find it!!

For this Tag, You're It Tuesday, I have chosen this beautiful creation from Ellabella:

I absolutely love her creation!! I fell in love with the design. I love the tall or long cards. I think they look great. I also love the layer of ribbons and the buttons! Absolutely love it!!! For CASEing this card I used the idea of the design as a whole. Love it!  And you should see all of Ellabella's creations! She is so talented!! So, here is what I came up with:

My color scheme is way different LOL I used one of my punches for the edge. I used a Spellbinders die for the flowers, I picked out lots of different ribbons and ric rac. I added pearls outside of the oval and at the bottom of the card. This is the first time that I have attempted to color pearls with my Copic markers and i LOVE it!! It colors so smoothly and evenly. I think they turned out great! I didn't have purple, so that was the option.. color! LOL  I used green gems for the inside of the oval. On the edge of the large oval and the small over I embossed with black embossing enamel and I inked the very edge as well. The sentiments are stamped. The centers for the two flowers AND the metal flower on the outside sentiment are all buttons as well as the obvious ones at the top of the oval. LOL! I cut out the two wands from a Silhouette Cameo cut. The ovals and the scalloped oval are all Spellbinders dies. The wonderful image is Merlin Henry which you can find at the Whiff of Joy shop. I colored him with my Copic markers. I did do a bit of decoupage... the hat, the outfit and part of the magic spell.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Hat and Robe: V15, V17, BV08
  • Henry: N0, N1, N3, N5, N9
  • Wand: N3, N5, N9
  • Tail: R20, R21, R22
  • Ear Pink: R20
  • Stars: Y15, Y19, Y38
  • Magic: YG01, YG05, YG09

Hello everyone, I am so happy to be doing today's post. If you don't know about it, its when we get to share and choose someone's work that inspires us and then create something similar.

And this is how we can find your projects:

Via our Facebook page/group, Pinterest or among the entries of our challenge. If you are sharing a Whiff of Joy project through social medias tag us with @whiffofjoy or #whiffofjoy and we will find it :)

I am happy to share the lovely Alice's project, you can find her blog at Alice's Little Wonderland. She was on Whiff of Joy's design team and I love her simple yet striking cards with beautiful colouring of her images.

I love her style and had a go making a Christmas card using Henry Hugging a Christmas Bauble.

The sentiment is This is December and I finished it off with a flower and leaves, trying to keep the embellishments to the minimum.

Thank you for joining me today, I hope you enjoyed this post and I look forward to you sharing your projects with us!

Tag you're it- Tuesday!

Hi all Whiff of Joy fans!

Today is "Tag you're it"-Tuesday and it's me, Linda, here with you. Did you all ever know the difference between a lift and a case? I have done them both today to illustrate the differences for you. :-)

For my case (short for Copy And Steel Everything) I have asked Sandy if I could use her gorgeous card - isn't it beautiful?!?

This is my card.... I have copied the layout, the color theme, the flower arrangement, the decorations and almost the image... ;-)

Here is a close up on the image called Angel Henry. For my coloring I have used distress refils in antique linnen, vintage photo and frayed burlap. The star and halo is colored with scattered straw. I have also added lots of Stickles.

For my lift, Julie, was kind to let me use her card. I just love how she uses the colors and all the detailing.

This is my lift. This means I have been inspired by Julie's card and used certain elements but still have given the card my own personal touch. I have lifted the layout and the circular image as well as parts of the color scheme but added some more brown/beige instead of the yellow.

Here is the image called Angel Maya with Star that I used my Copic Markers to color.

These are the colors I have used;
Dress: B 37, 34, 32, 00
Hair: E 34, 30, E53, YR20
Halo and stars: Y 38, 15, 000
Skin: E 13, 11, 00
Wings: E 53, 51, 50
And loads of Stickels :-D

Thank you for visiting the Whiff of Joy blog today!
