Double Slider Card

This is me, Kathrin, today and I want to show you how to make a Double Slider Card. This is not my own idea, just my way of doing it...

Ich bins, Kathrin, und ich möchte Euch heute zeigen, wie Ihr eine Double Slider Card machen könnt. Die Idee stammt nicht vonmir, es ist nur die Art, wie ich sie mache.

I used "Uru with Bird" for my card. And like I did so many times before I stamped him without the bird and replaced it with something matching my theme - a star in that case. I also did the same with the holly leaves hanging from his hat.

Ich habe "Uru mit Vogel" für meine Karte verwendet. Und wie ich es schon oft getan habe, habe ich ihn ohne Vogel gestempelt und an dessen Platz etwas gestempelt, dass zu meinem Thema paßt. Diesmal ist es ein Stern. Das selbe habe ich auch mit den Ilex-Blättern getan, die von der Mütze baumeln.

You'll need:

Cardstock

designer's paper

a stamped and colored image

(the paper you stamp your image onto should be at least 2 3/4" x 3 1/2")

small circle punch

glue/tacky tape

scissors/paper cutter

ruler

Ihr braucht:

Cardstock

Motivpapier

eine gestempeltes und coloriertes Motiv

(der Cardstock, auf den Ihr das Motiv stempelt, sollte mindestens 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" groß sein)

kleine Kreisstanze

Kleber/doppelseitiges Klebeband

Schere/Papierschneider

Lineal

Cut a piece measuring 4 1/2" x 11" from your Cardstock and score it at 5 1/2".

Schneidet ein 4 1/2" x 11" großes Stück von Eurem Cardstock und falzt es bei 5 1/2".

Cover the side that will be the front of your card with patterned paper.

Klebt ein Stück Motivpapier auf die Seite, die später die Vorderseite Eurer Karte sein wird.

Then use a ruler and craft knife to make two slits in the front of your card. The slits are about 3/8" wide and are about 1 1/2" away from the sides, 1 3/8" away from the fold and 1 7/8" away from the top.

Verwendet ein Lineal und einen Cutter, um zwei Schlitze in die Vorderseite Eurer Karte zu machen. Die Schlitze sollten etwa 3/8" breit sein und 1 1/2" entfernt von den Seiten, 1 3/8" entfernt vom Falz und 1 7/8" entfernt von der oberen Kante liegen.

Punch 4 circles with a small circle punch. The circles should be anything between 1/2" to 3/4".

Put dimensionals on two of the circles, put them in the slits and put the other two circles on top of these. Make sure the circles can move up and down in the slits.

Stanzt 4 Kreise mit einem kleinen Kreisstanzer. Die Kreise sollten in der Größe irgendwo zwischen 1/2" und 3/4" liegen.

Klebt 3D Pads auf zwei der Kreise, legt sie in die Schlitze und klebt die anderen beiden Kreise darauf. Stellt sicher, dass sich die Kreise problemlos in den Schlitzen auf- und abbewegen.

Next cut a 3 1/2" x 5 piece and a 2" x 3 1/4" piece from white cardstock and decorate these. Only the tops of these will show on the card (about 1 1/2" of the larger cardstock and 1/2" of the small one).

Mat your papers and the image. Also add a little tab between the big white cardstock and it's matting.

Schneidet als nächstes ein 3 1/2" x 5" großes Stück und ein 2" x 3 1/4" großes Stück aus weißem Cardstock und dekoriert diese. Es werden nur die oberen Stücke (ungefähr 1 1/2" des großen und etwa 1/2" des kleinen Cardstocks) zu sehen sein. 

Hinterklebt die Cardstock-Stücke und das Motiv und faßt ein Tab zwischen den größeren weißen Cardstock und sein "Matting".

Now open your card and line the bigger piece of decorated white cardstock with the top edge of your card base.

Add some doublesided tape to the circles.

Make sure, the little circles are all the way down in the slits...

Öffnet nun die Basis der Karte und legt das größere dekorierte Stück Cardstock so hinein, dass es genau bündig mit der Kante der Kartenbasis abschließt.

Gebt etwas doppelseitiges Klebeband auf die Kreise.

Stellt sicher, dass die kleinen Kreise ganz unten in den Schlitzen liegen....

...and carefully close the card.

....und schließt die Karte vorsichtig.

Now add some doublesided tape to the other 2 circles and place the smaller decorated piece of cardstock onto them, centered in the card. Before you glue it down make sure it will be fully covered by the image - if not, just cut it down a little.

Gebt nun etwas doppelseitiges Klebeband auf die anderen beiden Kreise und klebt das kleinere Stück dekorierten Cardstock so darauf, dass es mittig auf der Karte liegt. Bevor Ihr es festklebt, legt probehalber Euer Motiv darüber um sicherzugehen, dass der Cardstockstreifen völlig vom Motiv verdeckt wird. Falls das nicht der Fall ist, schneidet den Streifen einfach etwas kürzer.

Now glue the image down on your card front using dimensionals. Make sure, the hidden cardstock pieces can easily slide. In case this isn't happening you need to layer 2 dimensionals.

Befestigt nun das Motiv mit 3D-Pads auf der Vorderseite der Karte. Die versteckten Cardstock-Stücke müssen sich problemlos herausziehen lassen. Ist das nicht der Fall, dann müßt Ihr je 2 3D-Pads aufeinander kleben.

Now open the card, put two strips of doublesided tape to the side edges of the card and close the card base.

Öffnet nun die Karte, gebt zwei Streifen doppelseitiges Klebeband an die seitlichen Kanten und schließt die Karte.

The last step is now to decorate your card. And this is what it could look like:

Der letzte Schritt ist nun, Eure Karte zu dekorieren. Und so könnte sie aussehen:
