Altered Valentine's Box

Hi everyone! It's Sandie here. Today I am sharing with you a box I altered to make a Valentine Candy Box for my sweet daughter.

To create this box you will need:
Charming Henry mini stamp
1x Papier Mache box
White Acrylic Paint
A selection of Patterned papers
Embellishments of choice
Adhesives
Paper trimmer

#1 - Seperate all the components of the box and, using a baby wipe, distress paint all the edges with the white paint. Leave to dry for a few minutes. While it is drying you can go ahead and trim your papers to size

#2 - When the paint has dried adhere your papers to the box using a strong adhesive.

#3 - Trim out the centre of the lid by cutting an X and folding back each side. Adhere to the underside and then adhere the centre piece, which you have covered in contrasting paper.

#4 - While your adhesive is drying you can go ahead and stamp, colour and trim out Charming Henry, or the stamp of your choice.

#5 - Embellish the lid of the box adding the ribbon, which you will tuck and adhered to the underside of the lid. Make a bow to go on top of your ribbon.

#6 - Mount Henry on 3D foam dots and secure him on top of the embellishments once you are happy with how it looks

Fill the box with chocolates or love hearts candy.

And that completes your Valentine Candy Box. I do hope you like it and we would love to see your creations. Please do share in our Gallery over on Splitcoast Stampers or on our Facebook page
