Christmas Candle and Candle wrap tutorial

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. Today, I (Jane), have a tutorial to share with you to show you how to make a Christmas candle using the adorable Christmas light image from the latest Whiff of Joy stamp release.

Supples needed to decorate the Candle:

Whiff of Joy Christmas Light stamp and sentiment
White or cream candle
White Tissue paper
Greaseproof paper
Heat Gun
Sheet of Vellum paper
Whiff of Joy Button Twine
Stick on pearls
Snowflake border punch
White pom pom trim
Colouring medium
Holly die cut

Step by step instructions:
1.Stamp the image onto the smooth side of the white tissue paper

2. Colour the image using your chosen medium. Place the tissue paper onto white card before colouring to show the colours better. Colours will not be as vibrant on the tissue paper as when colouring onto white card or paper.

3. cut the image out leaving a small border

4. Place the image on the candle leaving a larger gap at the bottom of the image

5. Wrap the candle with greaseproof paper, holding at the back firmly

6. Apply heat evenly with the heat gun moving over the image to melt the top layer of the candle

7. When tissue paper has been absorbed into the candle, the image will show more clearly through the greaseproof paper

8. Remove paper, if image has not been fully absorbed, wrap with greaseproof paper and heat again

9. To make the wrap, cut a piece of vellum to fit around the candle and 5cm wide. Punch the edge with a snowflake border punch

10. Stamp the sentiment with Stazon

11. To finish the candle, wrap with punched and stamped vellum fixing at back with double sided tape. Add pom pom trim around bottom of candle with double sided tape. Wrap with twine and tie in a bow above the image, add die cut holly leaves and finish with stick on pearls.

Make sure you remove the wrap before lighting the candle!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial.
Have a great Thursday!
Jane
