Hi all, Lori here with a quick and easy tutorial on how to make your own lace flowers using scrap bits of lace as seen here. The gorgeous Princess is part of the Whiff of Joy Fall Stamp Kit and will be available in September as an individual stamp, isn't she gorgeous!
Brad or pearls for the centre.
Some thread and a needle.
I used a piece of lace approximately 14 inches long. You can use shorter pieces too. My piece of lace is 1 inch thick. If you use a small thickness you will have a smaller flower.
Thread your needle but no need to knot it. Loosely weave the needle along the top edge of your lace. I used black since it's easier to see.
Hold the top end of the thread and using your fingers slide the lace toward the bottom scrunching it up. Make sure not to push it off the end of the thread.
Once it's scrunched up. Tie the top end of the thread to the bottom end in a knot and cut the loose ends. Fan out the shape until it resembles this.
Finally all you need to do is add a brad/pearl to the centre and you're done. Hope you'll give it a try it only takes a couple of minutes.
