Gift Card Holder by Claudia Rosa

Thank you for visiting the WOJ inspiration blog today.
I hope you will enjoy recreating this fun little project i have prepared for today.
I was inspired by Whiff of Joy's newest release "City Girls" to make a neat little gift card holder to give to a good girlfriend, relative or co-worker.
For this project you are not going to need many supplies,
just a scoring board and some good strong tape - may i suggest Scor-pal tape
First make your card from cardstock (6 x 12) and score @ 4" and 8"

Mark with a small pencil line the angle you want to create for your pocket. I went from the bottom 2" up

Cut that triangle piece off and apply your adhesive tape at the bottom and the 2" part.

cut your choice of patterned paper and decorate the inside with it.
The pocket i have created is long enough to stick a $50 dollar bill in or just simply a plastic gift card.

I have created my sentiment with the computer. As fun closure i went with a paper "belt" but you could also just use ribbon to tie the card. If you want to recreate the belt style like on my card, you could cut the white paper 1" wide. It makes the sliding under the focal point image easier if you add that onto 2 pop-up dots to the front of your card.

To add the belt to the back of my card i just added my personal info - makes it faster and since my card is made with Bazzill Bling cardstock i did not want to cover that with Design Paper.
Lots of Love
Claudia

  4. too cute, absolutely great tutorial.. I might point out that you want to cut your original cardstock to 6 x 12 rather than 6 x 6 though? Thanks for all your great inspiration!!! I love your work!
