Türhänger-Verpackung

Die Weihnachtszeit kommt näher - und somit auch die Zeit, in der man Freunde und Nachbarn mit einem kleinen Geschenk bedenken möchte. Und darum zeige ich Euch heute eine einfache Art, einen Türhänger zu basteln, in den Ihr ein kleines Geschenk verpacken könnt.

Ich selbst habe letztes Jahr so einen Türhänger bekommen - fertig in einem Bodyshop-Laden gekauft, was das Geschenk ja nicht schlechter macht, aber den Ehrgeiz im Bastler weckt. Und so habe ich ihn nach dem Aufbrauchen des Inhalts sauber zerlegt, etwas abgewandelt und herauskam das heutige Tutorial.

Christmas is coming closer - and this means it's that time again to make your  friends and neighbors happy with a little gift. And so I am going to share a tutorial with you about how to make a door hanger in which you can put a little gift.

I got one of these myself last year for christmas. It was  a ready made and filled one from a body shop. This doesn't make the gift worse but we as crafters have to find out how to make it. And so I carefully took it apart (after using the content), changed it a bit and so I ended up with this tutorial.

Schneidet ein Stück Cardstock 30 x 12 cm und falzt es bei 1 cm, 13,5 cm, 16,5 cm und 29 cm.

Außerdem braucht Ihr ein weiteres Stück Cardstock mit den Maßen 6 x 14 cm, dieses falzt Ihr 

bei 7 cm.

Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 30 x 12 cm and score it at 1 cm, 13,5 cm, 16,5 cm and 29 cm.

Then cut a second piece of cardstock measuring 6 x 14 cm and score it at 7 cm.

Faltet das kleinere Stück Cardstock entlang der Falzlinie und stanzt einen Kreis aus, groß genug, dass eine Türklinke hineinpaßt. Wenn Ihr wollt, könnt Ihr, wie ich, noch einen gewellten Ring stanzen, den Ihr als Deko um das Loch klebt. Das sieht nicht nur schön aus, es macht den Hänger auch stabiler.

Fold the smaller piece of cardstock and punch out a circle, big enough to lat a door handle slip through. If you want you can also punch out a scalloped ring to put around the circle like I did. Not only does it look nice, it also makes your door hanger more sturdy.

Klebt die Ringe um den Kreis. Markiert dann an beiden Cardstockstücken die Mitte.

Glue the rings around the punched out circle. Then use a pencil and a ruler to mark the middle of both cardstock pieces.

Orientiert Euch an den Markierungen und klebt beide Teile des Türhängers zusammen. Setzt dabei den Rand des kleinen Cardstocks an der 1-cm-Falzlinie des großen Cardstockstückes an.

Use your marks and glue both pieces together. Put the small piece's edge along the 1-cm-score line.

Dann könnt Ihr die Vorderseite dekorieren. Es ist einfacher, das jetzt zu tun, wenn Ihr den Türhänger noch flach auf den Tisch legen könnt.

Anschließend nehmt ein Piercing Tool und macht ein kleines Loch mittig auf dem 1-cm-Streifen. Stecht durch alle "Schichten", also Vorderseite, Aufhänger und Rückseite.

Now it's time to decorate the front of your door hanger. It's easier to do that now when you are still able to put your hanger flat on the table.

Then take a piercing tool and make a hole in the middle of the 1 cm strip.

Go through all the layers - the front, the hanger and the back.

Füllt dann ein Zellophantütchen mit einer Kleinigkeit - ich habe mich passend zum Motiv für einen Beutel Trinkschokolade und Kekse entschieden.

Then fill a little gift - matching the image I went with some hot chocolate and cookies - into a cellophane bag.

Legt das gefüllte Zellophantütchen auf den Türhänger, schlagt den oben überstehenden Rand nach hinten um und stecht auch durch das Tütchen ein Loch.

Place the filled cellobag on the inside of your door hanger, fold over the leftover bag part on the top and make a hole through the bag as well.

Als letztes steckt nun ein Brad durch alle Lagen und verschließt es. Auf diese  Weise kann der Inhalt nicht herausfallen, der Türhänger muss beim Öffnen aber nicht zerrissen werden.

As the last step put a brad though the hole in each layer and close it. Using a brad the content can't fall out and you don't have to destroy the door hanger to get the content out.
