Christmastree decoration by Louise

Hi everyone!
My name is Louise and I´m honoured to be a GDT in december and january.
I want to show you how to make a christmas tree decoration with some ingredients you probably have in your pantry already.
I remember doing these decorations for our christmas tree with my mother as a child and I loved it, a treasured memory. Hopefully you´ll find some inspiration from my post and create memories of your own now. ;)

Here´s the recipe for the frosting:
* 4 decilitre icing sugar
* a few drops of acetum
* 1 eggwhite

I started off with chosing which stamp to use (it´s so hard, sooo many beauties to pick from ;)) Decided to use Betty and Henri wintermice. Continue by inking it and use an appropriate die to cut out the image.

Here´s mine!

To be able to build up your decoration with the frosting you need to use a bigger piece of cs behind the image. There´s no need to cut it out perfectly. (You´ll see why in a little while)

Before you stick the two pieces togheter with an effective glue (the decoration get´s heavy) place a matching ribbon in between the pieces.
Take your frosting and start piping it to the image with one line...

....til it looks like this :)
Before you start applaying your second line of bigger piping with the frosting cut off all superfluous cs.

Apply your second line now.
When you feel it´s ready it´s time to start decorating it! You can use almost anything.

Mine looks like this before I added stickles star dust to the image and at the frosting

And like this after my appliance ;) If you look closely you can see the stickles on Betty´s hat amongst other places :)

Have fun!

Love Louise
