My Creative Space!

Good Morning All! Karin here
and I wish you a warm welcome into my Creative Craft Space :-)

Once a month this year, one of the DT will create a post showing off their creative space.
I am first of all and is very excited to show off my "little cave"!!!

I like to know where I have all my stuff and have therefore ordered all in transparent boxes.
It is also practical that the things I use the most, are closely to my chair :-)
All my paper are just on my right side so it`s easy peasy to reach!

I need good light to work in so therefore I have two lamps lit right on the working table.
On the wall right in front of me, I have maps with an overview of Distress Ink as I use for coloring.

Transparent boxes with stamps, punches, embossing powder, sparkle, heat gun, books with ideas etc.
My newest creations are allowed to be exhibited on the shelves a little time
before I put them in my transparent boxes :-)

Under the table I also like to keep it  practical. My copy machine is essential for printing Digi`s!
just as important is that trash is properly positioned so it is quick to throw paper and sticky tape in.

To get in the right scrappin` mood, I always play music from my computer :-)
Mostly it`s from Spotify, but I also listen to different radio channels from the internet.
Every now and then a glass of wine is delicious.
It`s also practical to have the computer as close as I always can use the internet etc.

This is my Before Picture!!!
I have to admit that my Creative Soace is pretty neat and tidy the most of the time.
1 year ago I had a big cleaning project. Put up shelves, enough table space etc.
I usually have some clutter with pieces of paper in the middle of the table.
My children don`t live at home so of course that helps :-)

I hope you`ve got some ideas hove to organize YOUR Creative Space :-)

a box - not just for valentine's

Hallo liebe Whiff Of Joy Freunde!
***
Hello dear friends of Whiff of Joy. It's Kathrin here today and I want to share a tutorial for how to make a box that is not only a great gift for valentine's day.

Ihr braucht:
- ein Stück Cardstock 18,5 x 25 cm
- ein Stück Cardstock 15,7 x 21,5 cm
- ein Stück Klarsichtfolie
- Kleber, Schere, Falzbein/-brett, Verzierung,

You'll need:
- one piece of cardstock measuring 18,5 x 25 cm
- one piece of cardstock measuring 15,7 x 21,5 cm
- a piece of acetate
- glue, scissors, bone folder/scoring tool, decoration

Score each edge of the bigger piece of cardstock at 1 cm, 2,5 cm, 3,5 cm and 5 cm.

Then you have to cut down the cardstock as shown on the picture. There's no need to measure the little flaps, the are just helping to keep the box together.

Then take the second piece of cardstock and score it at 1 cm, 2,6 cm, 11,1 cm and 12,7 cm.

Then use one of your dies to cut a window in the lid of the box. Take care to leave at least 1 cm to the folds uncut or you will see the edges of your box through the window.
Glue a piece of acetate on the inside of the lid. If you do this all over or just around the window is up to you.

Glue your box together - I don't think I have to explain how to do that. It's easier if you start with the longer edges.
Also glue together the lid.

All you need to do now is to decorate your box and fill it - and you have a pretty little gift for someone special.
I didn't use a image on this one, but used the saying from Whiff Of Joy's stamp set Kalorienreich and combined it with one of the big spoons from the  Box of Charms No 1 FoodLovers. For the one I am giving this box to an image wouldn't have fitted.
My box is filled with heartshaped candies in white and different shades of pink.

I hope you like my little gift and hope you have fun making your own!

PRETTY FLOWERS...

Morning all...

Vicky here today...and I thought I share a quick tutorial on how I make these flowers using the gorgeous and very versatile Nested Flowers 1 die..

and the different materials you can use too..

The items you will require are..

Brads
Water Spritzer
Picking tool
Various material of your choice..

1} Die cut your flowers with material of choice..I have chosen an old book and cut out 3 pages and die cut them all at the same time.

2} Layer them all the on top of each other and then fix them with the brad.

3 } Layer by layer..using the picking tool to separate..start scrunching the papers {depending on the materials you have used, you can use the spritzing bottle with water to spray each layer to help soften and mould the papers better} to create the centre of the flower.

4} Continue scrunching the flower until they form a ball.

Then carefully open the flower and it should look like this..

As you can see from these flowers I have made below..

I have used different materials which include..

Tracing paper
Brown packing paper
Old Book
Kraft Card
Hand made paper
Felt
Hessian
Cheesecloth

and you can also use lots of pretty buttons and brads for the centres too..

Here is my finished project using one of the flowers..and the adorable Maya too..

Hope you likey...and for more details please pop over to my blog here..

So thanks for stopping by...and I hope you all have a lovely day too..

big hugs Vicky xx

mosaik background

Sabine Melzer
Hallo Ihr Lieben,

Today I want to show you how to design a mosaic background.

Ihr braucht nicht viel ;)

Designerpapier
Distress Pad
Kleber
Kartenrohling

first you cut the paper into little pieces

after that it`s time for you pad. All edges are wiped. Yeah all

then you put your pieces on the card, mixed up.

Now  cut the edges of your background and it`s ready

Damit habe ich nun eine Karte gestaltet
thats my backroundcard

Ich wünsche euch viel Spass beim nacharbeiten
