Special paper-clips in a decorated glass

Hi everybody, it’s Katharina. I have a gift idea for you today. Perfect for  friends at work or teachers. Those bright, colourful heart- paper-clips will cheer up their day.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The paper-clips I used are 80mm long. I got them at our papershop. I punched the hearts of heavy watercolour paper (300g) and the same amount out of patterned paper. I will glue two of them together to give it more stability.

Cover each heart with a generous coat of Glossy Accents and let them drie over night.

After the hearts have dried on the one side, turn them over, again cover them with Glossy Accents and put the paper-clip directly into the wet Glossy Accents. Let dry completely.

I decorated a washed out “tomato sauce” glass to put the clips inside. Looks special :)

Lollipop Cover by Lori...

Hi Lori here with a Valentine's idea for you. I used Henry behind heart mini to create these fun Treat ideas!

Supplies: 7.5 inch x 2 inch piece of card stock or heavy designer paper. I went for a super sparkly piece. Lollipops, piece of lace, ribbon, brad, sentiment and stamped and coloured image.

Score your piece of card stock at 3 inches, and 4.5 inches and punch two holes in each end.

Time to add your stamp and embellishments, I have kept it simple, just a brad, piece of lace and sentiment.

Now all that is left to do is string a ribbon through the punched holes and tie it in a bow in front. Make sure the lollipop stem is in the middle so it stays in place.

These are really fun to make and if you don't add too many embellishments they are quick too! A great idea for teachers or your child's classmates! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll give it a try!

Mounting your stamps

Hi everybody! It's Ingrid here.
Today I don't have a creative project to share with you but a way of using EZ-mount when you're mounting your stamps. Cutting out the mounted stamps can be difficult because your scissors got sticky. There is a easy way to circumvent that. I didn't invent it myself, I read about it on Splitcoaststampers and thought that you all should know about it :-)
After placing your rubber stamps on the sticky side of the EZ-mount you use talcum-powder on all the sticky places that are left.
Then you can cut out your stamps as you are used to.
And after that you wash away the talcum-powder with water and a brush.
That's it! It's so easy but it really works :-) Maybe you want to give it a try once.

Thanks for visiting us today and I hope to see you again, here or on my own blog.

Heart Shaped Easel by Jane Johnson

Hi, Jane here.  I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year with your family and friends.  After our Christmas break it is time to start thinking about Valentine's Day creations and with this in mind I thought I would show how to create a heart shaped easel card.

You Will Need:

1 x A4 cardstock
1x 6x6" cardstock
2x 6x6" paper
Image and embellisments
Heart shaped template or die cutting shape

Step 1.

Firstly, the principle is the same if you are using a die cutting heart or a heart template as I am here.  Place your A4 piece of cardstock onto your scoring board and find the size of your heart shape as in the picture above (mine is 5").  Remove your template/die and score the cardstock 1/8" smaller than the measurement of the heart (so in my case I scored at 4 7/8").

Step 2.

Place your template/die so that the rounded ends of the heart protrude over the fold as shown in the photo above.

Step 3.

Now, either draw around your template and cut it out or pass the die and cardstock through your cutting machine.

Step 4.

Open the folded heart shape out again and place on your scoring board as shown.  On the heart on your right hand side score a line half way down the heart - in my case this meant scoring at 7 3/8".

Step 5.

Fold this score line and you will now have the base of your easel card as shown above.

Step 6.

Cut out a complete heart shape from the 6" square cardstock.  Add glue to the part of the base indicated by diagonal lines in the photo above and adherer the heart shaped piece of card to it, matching the shapes together.

Step 7.

Your card base should now look like the photo above and is ready to decorate with papers, image and embellishments.
Here is my finished card using one of the fabulous new images to be released on 5th January.  For more details on how I embellished my card please see my blog post here.
