Christmas planner by Jorunn

How are you doing on your Christmas preparations?
I have already started, but then I like to get an early start, and I enjoy every single thing to do
for this Holiday. I love Christmas!

Today I am showing you my Christmas planner...
Very easy to make, so there are no tutorial... just for inspirations... :o)

I made a scheme with 24 squares in word, and printed it on regular white paper.
(Only 24 squares, because we celebrate Christmas on the 24th here in Norway.)
The base is a 12" x 12" white Bazill, that I decorated with pattern papers, die cuts, roses and large Christmas beades....and of course glued the calendar and the image to it.

When I first  saw this adorable image;
I immediately thought "Christmas is coming...."
And then the idea for the Christmas planner was born.... lol....

Here it is;
I am planning to write in different activities and to do things in the dates, as I plan them....
But it could also be used as an advent calendar, counting down for Christmas...

I have decorated some of the squares with stars, buttons and a rolled up pattern paper,
with a poem or saying inside...
It could also have been a cookie recipe, or something personal for your special someone... ;o)
The beautiful leafs, and snow flake, behind the red roses,

If you make your own Christmas planner, I would love to see it,
so please leave a link to it here...

Have a great Christmas preparation-time!

Winter Chandelier with Michaela

Hello everyone. I hope you're having a fabulous week. This is Michaela, from Cardheaven, and today I am going to show you how to make this wonderful Winter Chandelier using Whiff of Joy Snowflake dies & Praying Angel.

The Supplies
You will need:
* Metal ring
* Hot glue Gun
* Ribbon
* Clear Jewelery cord
* Fancy "wintery" yarn
* Snowflakes punched out with the Whiff of Joy Snowflake die
* Any other snowflakes (variety is great!)
* Tissue paper Flowers
* Other embellishments (pearls, tiny plastic snowflakes, jingle bells)
* Stamped & colored WoJ Praying Angel

Instructions

1. Wrap your ribbon around the metal ring, completely covering it - use your hot glue gun to make sure the ribbon won't move.

2. Once the ribbon is all wrapped around, wrap the clear jewelery cord as shown on the picture (you can add 4 more sides - to make it 8 - for more dramatic look), tie it very tight and try to make sure it is located in the middle on all four sides, it will help you with the overall balance in the end.

3. Once we have the jewelery cord tied, we tie more ribbon to the sides and in the middle (where the cords meet). This will be our base for decorating.

4. Now we can add (using the hot glue gun) our snowflakes. I attached the snowflakes from both sides of the ribbon, so it looks pretty from all sides ☺, on the end attach tiny plastic snowflakes.

5. The next thing I added was the fancy yarn and jingle bells.

6. The last thing to decorate is the top. I added (using the hot glue gun) the tissue paper flowers, pearls and on the very top - where the cords meet - I attached (tied) the ribbon for hanging and the gorgeous Praying Angel.

And here is the finished Chandelier.
ENJOY!

Once again, this project is very versatile and can be used any time of the year, for almost any occasion. Can be used as a baby mobile or room decoration ... let your creativity fly and let us know what you've made.

Today I used:

Happy crafting.
Enjoy your weekend!

Embossing with Nestabilities Video Tutorial

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by today! This is Jeanette and I have some very simple yet elegant Christmas cards to show you. At Christmas time I want to be able to send hand-made cards out but I do not want the cards themselves to be too bulky or I end up paying so much in postage. These cards seemed the perfect solution! I really love the love of Kraft paper on Christmas cards but this would look stunning with any color of cardstock!

I created a short video tutorial to show you how I created the ovals around the image:

Hope you liked this little idea!

Creating a pendulum card

Good morning everyone! It is Kylie here and I would like to show you how quick and easy it is to make a card with a swinging pendulum. It is sure to impress your friends and relatives this Chrsitmas.

First, gather your supplies:
Stamp and colour your image. Cut it out carefully.

Using your square piece of designer paper, carefully cut a shape out of the centre. I used a die to cut a shape but you could trace a circle and carefully cut that out if you wish. If using a die, centre the die on the paper and use some tape on the inside to hold it in place while you run it through your die cutting machine so it doesn't move.

Apply double sided tape to the back of you designer paper, leaving a space at the top for the pendulum to move.

Apply some adhesive tape to one end of the acetate strip

Attach the acetate strip to the back of the image. Position the designer paper over the backing cardstock - don't adhere together yet.

Turn your image to the correct side and line it up in the centre of the hole you cut earlier.

Place a small dot on the acetate where you will create a hole to insert the brad that will create a pendulum. Carefully remove the designer paper without moving your image or acetate as you need to ensure your dot remains over the cardstock where you will need to pierce a hole through both thicknesses.

Pierce your hole through the acetate and the cardstock. You want the hole to be neat so I used my silent setter to cut the hole to ensure a clean hole and a smooth swing of the pendulum.

Fasten the acetate to the cardstock backing with your small flat brad. Your Penguins now swing!

Remove tape backing and position the designer paper over the cardstock.

Cut your Snowflakes using the Snowflake Trio die and pierce a hole in the centre of the large snowflake.

Pierce a hole in the top of your acetate strip and fasten two snowflakes together with the acetate with a decorative brad (the new Whiff of Joy brads are perfect for this)

Decorate your card base and then attach your completed pendulum square

And here is the finished card

Just move the snowflakes and your Penguins sled down the slope!

I hope you find this tutorial useful! If you make a card using this tutorial, please leave a link below so we can have a look!

Enjoy your weekend,

Creating a christmas wreath-card with Whiff of Joy's grass die by Katharina Frei

christmasWreath4
Today I would like to show you how I created the christmas wreath on my card using Whiff of Joy's grass die. It is super easy and quick.
tips This wreath is not only suitable for christmas cards. Decorate it with flowers for a spring card or with leaves for a fall card aso.
howTo
christmasWreath
First I punched 6 pieces of grass with my cuttlebug using Whiff of Joy's grass die. I distressed them with a brown inkpad.
christmasWreath1
I then used my liquid, transparent glue to adhere the gras pieces together.
christmasWreath2 I adhered the finished wreath to a label I punched with a Spellbinder Nestability, put the brads on it and adhered the bow - voila!
