Corner Bookmark By Marley

Hi ladies,

Today I want to make a tutorial how to make a corner bookmark, its really easy and simple to do!

Ok what you will need;
- 1 peace of cardstock 4x4 inch (10,9cm)
- 1 peace of cardstock 2 3/4 inch x 2 3/4 inch (6,9cm)
- Scoring board
- Cuttingtool
- Glue
- Decoration and borderpunch

You start with the 4x4 inch cardstock. Mark the center at 3 sides, so at 2 inch.
I draw a pencil line from mark to mark to make it easier to score.



Line up the lines or marks on your scoring board and score them diagonal.
If you did both sides, fold them like this.



Take your 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 inch cardstock and line it up diagonally in your papercutter and cut it.



Make a border. I used a Martha Stewart punch



Put the triangle on the front and back of your bookmark.
Its time to decorate now!!

Baby Gift Box by Inge Groot

Hi Ladies, it's my time again to show you how I did it;-) This time I've made a little gift box for a sweet newborn girl. Inside the box there's room for a pair of tiny sox. Now let's start...

Take a piece of 12 x 12 Kraft paper (this is the only time I use inches the rest of the tutorial will be in cm. You can easily convert this with an inch converter to cm found by Google) Cut two pieces , one of 12  by 24 cm and a square one of 17,4 x 17,4 cm

Score the square one at 5,8 and 11,6 cm than turn and do the exact same thing again. Score the other piece of cardstock at 3 - 9 cm turn and score at 3- 9 -15 -21 cm

Cut the piece in the middle out, where the line is and then it will look like this

Now fold all the scored lines of both the square and the rectangle pieces of cardstock

You see here that I've cut on both sides a little, this is to make the lit later on. The exact same thing I did with the square one

Now fold the square piece to a little box

And glue with tape to the other piece of cardstock

Tape the lit together

Your box is ready, let the fun part begin....start decorating!

And open....

Selfmade Design paper & aging with Copic Airbrushing by Katharina Frei

Today I want to show you how I created this background paper, which matches my coloured image perfectly.

Heute möchte ich euch gerne zeigen, wie ich dieses Hintergrundpapier, das farblich perfekt zu meinem Motiv passt, selbst gemacht habe.

Stamps: Whiff of Joy Spring Swirls, "A little magic might help", Butterflies
Ink: StazOn jet black, Memento tuxedo black
Paper: Su black, white vellum and whisper white cardstock
Accessories: silver brads from Stampin' Up, silver crystals from Artoz, crystal effects from SU
Colored with Copic Sketch Markers: E21, R20, B02, B04, R81, R83, R83, Y21, Y23, E31, white gel pen

I created my own background paper using the stamps of Whiff of Joy's Spring Swirls collection and a butterfly from the "Butterflies" stamp set. I used my Cuttlebug B plate to arrange the stamps and stamped my "selfmade background stamp" on whisper white cardstock from Stampin' Up with Memento tuxedo black ink.

Ich habe mein eigenes Hintergrundpapier mit Stempeln von Whiff of Joy's Frühlingsschnörkel Kollektion und einem Schmetterling des "Schmetterlings- Set" gestempelt. Als Grundlage habe ich die B Platte meiner Cuttlebug verwendet und darauf die einzelnen Stempel zu einem Hintergrundstempel arrangiert. Gestempelt habe ich auf weissem Cardstock von Stampin' Up´mit Memento tuxedo Black Tinte.

I coloured the stamped background with Copic Sketch Markers with coloures I already used for the stamped image. This way the background would match perfectly.

Anschließend habe ich den Hintergrund mit Copic Sketch Markern ausgemalt. Verwendet habe ich dieselben Farben, die ich auch schon bei dem Stempelmotiv benutzt habe. So passt am Ende beides perfekt zusammen.

The sentiment is also included in WoJ's spring swirl collection. I stamped it on white vellum with StazOn jet black (which gives a more detailed impressin that the Memento).
I adhered some single crystals underneath the text to draw more attention to it.

Der Text ist ebenfalls in WoJ's Frühlingsschnörkel Kollektion enthalten. Ich habe ihn auf weisses Transparentpapier mit StazOn jet black Tinte gestempelt (diese verhilft zu einem detaillierteren Abdruck als die Memento): Die einzelnen Kristalle darunter habe ich angebracht um mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf den Text zu ziehen.

I wanted to give my selfmade background paper an aged look. Therefore I used my Copic airbrushing system with E31 (Beige Brick) on the borders.

Verwendet doch das Copic Airbrushing System um eure Hintergründe künstlich zu altern. Ich habe mit E31 (Beige Brick) die Kanten besprüht.

I used crystal effects from Stampin' Up on the bottles to give it the feeling of being glass. You should let it dry for 30-60 minutes so I like to use it at the end of creating my card or project.

Als kleines Extra habe ich Crystal Effects von Stampin' Up benutzt um den Fläschen den Anschein von Glas zu geben. Es hat eine Trocknungszeit von 30-60 Minuten. Deswegen verwende ich es erst ganz zum Schluss, nachdem ich meine Karte bzw. Projekt abgeschlossen habe.

Paper bags can be used to a lot of things, some have their lunch in it, some buys candy in it,
Inge made a wonderful gift bag using one, remember??
And I have made a card using a paper bag!

And I would like to show you how to....

 * A paper bag

*Stamped image

*Some card stock

* Pattern papers

*Embellishments

*Glue

Now let's get started...

 Fold the paper bag in two, and you have the card base ready.

Glue the flip on the bottom of the folded paper bag, on top and bottom.

The flap now makes a perfect money pocket.

Now we are ready to start decorating the 

paper bag card base...

Cut pattern papers to fit the front of the paper bag.

Decorate the pattern papers all done, with the stamped images and all the embellishments, before you glue it on the paper bag front.

Now we are ready to decorate the inside of the paper bag card.

Cut pattern papers to fit the money pocket flip, 

and you also need pattern papers on the other side of the open paper bag card.

Again, decorate them all done, before you glue them on the paper bag.

On the side of the paper bag card there is an opening... 

you know; where you would put something in the bag, if you used it as a bag...  :o)

That opening is perfect to put a pull out tag in,
and I always write my personal greetings on this tag.

Measure the size of the opening, both wide and depth,
and make a tag that fits into the opening. 

I have used bazzil card stock to make my tag.

Decorate the tag, with some of the left over pattern papers.

I have also used a Tim Holtz clip and put a ribbon through it, so it makes it easy to pull out.

And now the paper bag card is finished....

colored in with Copic Sketch Markers.

Crochet Flower Circles

Hello, it's me, Monika and this is my first tutorial for the Whiff of Joy Inspirations- & Tutorial Blog. Today I want to show you how to make very fast'n easy crochet flower circles:

step 1)
crochet chain 8 and form a ring

step 2)
row 1: work 2 double crochet in each chain = 16 stitches

step 3)
row 2: work 2 double crochet in each double crochet = 32 stitches

step 4)
fasten off and weave in ends

step 5)

decorate circles, for example with small roses

 

And here is my fancy notebook, ready to use for creative new business ideas...
