My last post as Gust Designer..

Here's my last card as guest designer over at Whiff of Joy. It sure has been a pleasure. I can't believe it's been 6 months already.. wow! These images are so cute I just adore this illustrators work. I used my Fancy Pants Design Papers and sticker as the sentiment. I think it's perfect for the carefree look on this little guy's face. :)

Thank you for having me Katharina!

Hugs, Mindy

A Pink Christmas Card.

Hi there everyone. Mindy here.

Here's a card I made using Angel Maya. This little image is so cute, I just love her to pieces. She's so much fun to color. I love the way her dress flows and the depth you can get when coloring it.

I hope you like my card.

Have a Happy Holiday Season.

Hi there crafty friends! It's Mindy here with my first guest designer post here at Whiff of Joy!

This is my first project using the new Sew Sweet Collection. I have used Sew Cute - Maya. I made a little box and it has a folder on top of it. I put a little sewing kit in the folder and the spools of thread in the box! I found the little kit at the dollar store! Pretty good deal, eh!?

Well, I'm happy to be able to share my Whiff of Joy creations with you for the next 6 months.

Hello!
Today is my turn to inspire you and my decision fall on a Fold Card with lots of space to embellish.
This is how my finished card looks like:

Hallo!

Vorderseite:

After opening the bow inside:
Nach dem Öffnen der Schleife im Innenteil:

Here comes the instruction how you can do this Fold Card yourself.
You will need 4 pieces of cardstock to cut the card pieces:
Red lines are to fold

After cutting all pieces you need, you can start to cut your designer papers and matting papers. My matting papers are all pink and 0,5 cm minor than the card templates.

My designer papers are from the Spring Awakening Paper Pad and self-stamped papers with the Whiff of Joy “Essential Backgrounds Lovely Vintage, text style”. All designer papers shapes are cut 0,4 cm minor than the matting pieces.

clip_image019

After finishing all the cutting glue all the shapes together. If you like, you can add some texture to your edge by using a sewing machine and white paint like I did.

The main work is done, now we can start to glue the papers to the card.

clip_image023

After covering all pages of the main card we can add the folding part inside our card. Add some double-sides adhesive tape and tape a ribbon to the background. This will help you to close the folding.

clip_image025

Stick the folding with ribbon to the card.

clip_image027

Add some papers to make it pretty.

clip_image029

This is how I used the little envelop and the tag.

Now your basic card form is finished. You can start to decorate and embellish it the way you like. I have used some Henry the mouse Vintage Images, sentiments, vintage style stamps, ribbon, lace, rhinestones in vintage brown, flowers, Lovely Doily die and some more stash.

Thanks for reading and have fun to use my inspiration.
Hugs, Natascha

Vielen Dank fürs Lesen und viel Spaß beim Nachbasteln.
LG, Natascha

Guest Designer for April & May

Happy Thursday Everyone! As you may remember, after we had our Design Team call, we had a really hard time choosing the team. There were so many amazing entries but we couldn’t take everyone. That is when we decided that we would ask some of our fabulous entrants to be our Guest Designers!

For February and March, we had the amazing Linda Kläringe from Pysselbus. She did a phenomenal job! Thanks sweetie!

For April & May, we are delighted to have:

Natascha Banning from Natascha’s Blog

We fell in love with Natascha’s sense of light and movement in her creations and how she is able to add texture with her embellishments!

We asked Natascha to tell us a little about herself. This is what she wrote:

“Hello! My name is Natascha Banning and I am 28 years old now. I have three adorable kids in the age between 6 and 9 years and my husband who I love very much. We are 9 years married now and live with our two cats in a lively apartment. I started crafting after my youngest sons birth in the summer 2007. One year later I fall for stamping and crafting cards. Since a while I have a craft room for myself and I can take my breaks there from my full-time job as mother, housewife and my payed part time job which I do from home as well. I am pleased to work with so many amazing crafters around the world. You are all so great and inspiring. I am looking forward to get creative with the cute and lovely Whiff of Joy products and show them to you. Hugs and kisses, Natascha :)”

Thanks so much for accepting to be our Guest Designer for the next two months! We can’t wait to see all that you create :)

Have a great day everyone :)

Hugs Jeanette xxo
