Hi everybody,
The time has come to announce the retirement of Whiff of Joy. We are doing this with a heavy heart and very sad feelings. It has been an exciting journey over the past years and we would like to thank all our fans and loyal customers from the bottom of our hearts.
Due to health reasons and due to the difficult economic situation, we are forced to make this step.

All of our stock will be sold off at great prices until we close the webshop in mid June.

Scrap your Stash Saturday

Hallo liebe Freunde von Whiff of Joy!

Es ist wieder Zeit für einen Scrap your Stash Saturday und ich, Kathrin, darf Euch meine Idee zeigen. Scrap your Stash steht ja dafür, etwas älteres oder auch einfach nur Reste, die sich beim Basteln zwangsläufig ansammeln, zu verwenden. Und so habe ich diese kleine Love Note gemacht, um sie meinem Mann heimlich in die Tasche zu schmuggeln... ;)

Hello dear friends of Whiff of Joy!

It's time for a new scrap your stash saturday and I, Kathrin, am here to show you my idea. Scrap your stash means using something old or even all those left overs that every crafter piles up because we just might be able to use them up one day. And so I made this little love note to smuggle it into my husband's pocket one day before he leaves for work.... ;)

Aus einem Reststück rosafarbenem Cardstock habe ich die Winzige Herzen Karte ausgestanzt und sie anschließend mit grauem Cardstock hinterlegt. So sieht man die Herzen besser. Anschließend habe ich das komplette Kärtchen in hellgrauer Tinte mit dem Basis Hintergründe Text - der oberste der drei im Set - bestempelt. Darüber kamen dann noch zwei der Federn von Stephanie Schütze, mit weißem Pulver embosst, darum herum ein paar Glitzersteine. 

Der Text und die süßen Mäuse sind beide von einem Simply Maya Stempel - die süße Katze, die eigentlich das Briefchen von den Mäusen bekommt - hat es leider nicht mit auf mein Kärtchen geschafft... 

Zum Schluss habe ich dann noch eine weiße Schleife sowie einen Brief-Charm aus der Box of Charms # 8 angebracht. 

Für dieses Kärtchen konnte ich super einige Rest verwenden - der rosafarbene Cardstock hätte nicht für mehr gereicht, ein kleines Reststück meines Papiers, auf dem ich immer stemple... 

Und nun verratet meinem Mann nichts! LOL

I cut the tiny hearts card from a piece of pink cardstock and then used grey cardstock to mat it to make the hearts more visible. Then I used light grey ink and the basic background stamp set - the top one of the three in this set - to stamp the text all over my card. On top of this I put two of the feathers by Stephanie Schütze and heat embosst them with white embossing powder. I added a few rhinestones around them.

The saying and the cute mice are both from a Simply Maya stamp - the cute cat that originally gets the little drawing from those mice didn't make it on my card...

To finish this off I added a white bow and a love letter charm from the box of charms # 8.

For this card I was able to use quite a few of my leftovers - the pink cardstock wouldn't have been enough for a regular sized card, there was also a small piece of the cardstock that I use for my coloring...

And now please don't spoil the surprise by telling my husband about this card! LOL

Ich liebe ja zur Zeit die bunten klaren Farben,sie spiegeln für mich den Frühling und den bevorstehenden Sommer wieder.

Make a Card Monday

 

Guten Morgen,

 

heute starten wir wieder mit einer neuen Woche und das heißt, wir zeigen euch eine Karte am Montag. Für meine Karte heute habe ich zwei der süßen Party Animals verwendet. Eine große Auswahl dieser Süßen findet ihr  hier. Die sind einfach putzig. Koloriert habe ich sie mit meinen Copics. Auf den beiden Ballons habe ich jede Menge Stickles getan.

Ich habe, wie immer, alle Papiere mit weißer Farbe bepinselt, um einen Shabby Look zu kreieren. Hinter dem Motiv habe ich zwei Tags mit verschiedenen Texten versteckt. Auf dem untersten Bild könnt ihr sie lesen.

today we start a new week and that means we show you a card on monday.

I made a card with two of the cute Party Animals. A lot of them you will find  hier. They are so pretty. I coloured them with my Copics. On the ballons I put a lot of Stickles.

As always I painted all papers on my card with white paint to create a shabby look. Behind the image I hide two tags with different massages. On the the pics below you can read them.

Auf der Suche im Internet bin ich auf eine tolle Karte von Gabi / Stempeltruhe gestoßen. 

Die Farben haben mir sofort gefallen: Frühling liegt in der Luft!!

Looking on the internet, I came across a great Card of Gabi / Stempeltruhe .

Love these colors: Spring is in the air!!

(Ich hätte gerne ein Stück von diesem leckeren Kuchen). 

Von den Farben inspiriert kommt hier meine Karte:

Inspired by the colors here comes my card:

Das Papier im Hintergrund habe ich zum Teil mit Distress Inks eingefärbt.

Der Vogel wurde mit Distress Marker koloriert. 

I´ve colored a part from the background paper with Distress Inks.

The bird was colored with Distress Marker.

Color me Happy! (picture heavy)

It's Linda here with you for Color me Happy Friday! For my coloring today I have used an image called You can count on me and I'm coloring with Copic Markers. 

I started using E37, 35, 33, 31 and 30. I added the darkest color E37 where the shade is meant to be. 

Then I add the next color, E35 and working over the darkest color as well towards my intended light source. 

I go on with E 33 and working that over my E35 and towards my light source. I do not go over my E37, this would make the colors blend to much. 

I then go over with my E35 and E 33 again to deepen the colors before I go over E33 with my E31 and towards the light. 

Then I go over my E31 with E 30 and the image is done. Well Henry anyways... 

So moving on to baby Henry I do the exact same thing... I start with my darkest color, in this case I choose E35. 

Then I add my next color E33 working over my E35 area as well. 

Before I go on to my next color I go over the image with E35 and E33 again. Now I move on to E31. 

Then I add my lightest color E30. 

For the pink details I use RV10 and R00, adding RV10 to the areas where the shade is meant to be.

Here I have added the R00 and also started on the red shirt for baby Henry. I always use R59, R46 and R27 for coloring read. Below I have added R59 as my darkest color where the shades are and then R46. 

Then I go over my image with the two darkest colors before I add R27 as my lightest color. 

Here the image is all done. I have used YG97, 95, 93 for the trousers using the same technique as I described above.
