heute bin ich wieder an der Reihe, euch einen Workshop auf dem Whiff of Joy-Blog zu zeigen.
Ich zeige euch, wie man diesen süßen kleinen Koffer aus Graupappe werkelt.
Aber zunächst zeige ich euch den fertigen Koffer, verschönert mit dem Henry aus dem Juli-Digi-Release.

today it's again my turn to show you a little tutorial at the Whiff of Joy Blog.
I wanna show you how to make a little suitcase with grey cardboard.
But first here it is, my little suitcase. Pimped with the cute Henry from the July-Digi-Release.
Und nun zum Workshop:
Diese Vorlage solltet ihr euch auf DIN A4 ausdrucken und auf ein Stück Graupappe mit 1,5mm Dicke zeichnen.

Here is the tutorial:
Print these pictures to a sheet of paper DIN A4 and then draw it on grey cardboard with a thickness of 1,5mm.
Das 1. Bild ist der Boden des Koffers, das 2. Bild der Deckel und Griff.

First picture shows the bottom of the suitcase, the second lid and handle.
So sieht dann die ausgeschnittene Vorlage aus.
Wo ich auf der Vorlage die gestrichelten Linien eingezeichnet habe, müsst ihr ganz sanft mit einem Messer einritzen. Aufpassen, dass der Schnitt nicht durch geht. Er soll nur das Knicken vereinfachen.

That's the way the cut-out template looks.
Where I have drawn on the template the dashed lines, you have to carve with a knife very gently. Take care that the cut does not go through. The cut only intended to simplify the wrinkles.
Und nun sanft knicken.

And now bent gently.
Wo die Punkte eingezeichnet sind, könnt ihr mit dem Crop-a-dile oder einem anderen Werkzeug kleine Löcher stanzen.

Where I have drawn the points, you can punch out little wholes with the crop-a-dile or another tool.
Wer mag kann die Kanten aller Graupappeteile nun wischen, um dem Koffer einen used-look zu geben.
Das ist aber Geschmackssache.

If you like, you can wipe all edges of the cardboard with ink, so it got an used-look.
But that's optional. Just if you want it.
Die Seiten werden nun zugeklebt und zusätzlich mit Brads befestigt.

The pages are now taped and additionally fastened with brads.
Nun kommt der Deckel an die Reihe. Auch hier wird an der gestrichelten Linie leicht geritzt und dann gefalzt.
Auch hier natürlich die Ränder wischen.

Now the lid's turn. Also slightly scratched on the dotted line and then folded.
Again, of course, wipe the edges.
Um den Deckel zu schließen braucht man jetzt noch ein Stück Graupappe mit den Maßen 3cm x 8cm.
Dieses Stück wird genau in der Mitte bei 1,5cm geritzt und gefaltet.

To close the cover you need a piece of gray cardboard with dimensions 3cm x 8cm.
This piece is scored right in the middle at 1.5 cm and then folded.
Nun wird erst der Deckel an das Unterteil geklebt.

Now the cover is glued to the bottom part.
Um den Koffer zu schließen wird nun noch das kleine Stück Graupappe an den Deckel geklebt.

To close the case the small piece of gray cardboard is glued to the lid now.
Nun kommt der schönste Teil, das Verzieren. Aber da wisst ihr ja, wie das geht. ;o)
