Kathrin today - and I am going to give you a peak into my craftroom today.

Hier ist Kathrin - und heute lasse ich Euch einen Blick in mein Bastelzimmer werfen.

We moved into our new house nearly one year ago - and I now have a wonderful and light room of about 4 x 5 m. And this is the view from the door:
Vor knapp einem Jahr sind wir in unser neues Haus eingezogen - und darin habe ich ein wunderbares und helles Bastelzimmer von etwa 4 x 5 m bekommen. Und so sieht es von der Tür aus aus:

In the middle of the room I put up my craft desk - with a corner and 3,20 m long. So there is enough room to get creative.
I didn't like that you could see my containers and the trash bins when you entered the room so I attached a few boards around the table to optically close it. I covered these with cream fabric and added a lace fabric border all around it as decoration:
In der Mitte habe ich mir einen langen Tisch gebastelt - mit Ecke und 3,20 m lang. Damit habe ich genug Platz, um mich kreativ auszutoben.
Ich mochte es nicht, wenn man Rollcontainer und Mülleimer unter dem Tisch gleich beim Reinkommen sieht. Darum habe ich einzelne weiße Platten von vorne gegen die Tischplatte geschraubt, sie mit cremefarbenem Stoff überzogen um die Stoßkanten zu überdecken und zum Aufhübschen noch eine Spitzenstoff-Bordüre angebracht:
I have my laptop, my Cameo and a bag with all the things like scissors, glue, bone folder etc on top of my desk.
Auf dem Tisch steht dann mein Laptop, meine Cameo und eine Tasche mit den Dingen, die man immer braucht, also Scheren, Kleber, Falzbein etc.

This is my cutting and punching corner.
I am storing my thin cutting dies on a Clip-It-Up for easy reach and have put it up right next to my cutting machines.
My punches are stored on some curtain rods at the same wall - there are a few more I don't use that often on more rods behind the door.
Das ist meine Stanz-Ecke.
Meine dünnen Metallstanzen hebe ich in Plastikhüllen auf einem Clip-It-Up direkt neben den Schneidmaschinen auf.
Meine Handstanzer bewahre ich auf Vorhangstangen an der Wand darüber auf - hinter der Tür hängen noch ein paar weitere mit den Handstanzen, die ich nicht so oft verwende.
Underneath I store my bigger or longer dies, replacement cutting pads etc:
In einem der Schränke darunter bewahre ich meine dickeren und längeren Stanzen, Ersatzstanzplatten etc auf:
Next I have all my coloring stuff - Copics, Twinkling H2O, Prismacolors, Distress Markers, SU Markers and the refills as well as all the tools I need for coloring:
Im nächsten Fach bewahre ich alles auf, was ich zum Colorieren brauche: Copics, Twinkling H2Os, Prismacolors, Distres Markers, SU Markers sowie die Nachfüller und auch all das Werkzeug, das ich zu Colorieren brauche:
And next come my Distress Ink Pads and refills with an extra pad for each color that I made from stamping handles and store them on rotating stamp storage tools:
Im nächsten Fach stehen dann meine Distress Ink Pads und Refills mit einem eigenen Schwämmchen für jede Farbe, die ich aus Stempelhölzchen mit Griff gemacht habe und auf einem drehbaren Stempel-Ständer aufbewahre:
On the wall next to the door I have two high Expedit shelves from Ikea with some smaller cupboards in between them. There I store my designer's paper pads in - the Expedit is the perfect size for the 12 x 12 papers.
On the wall I made myself a display board for some cards and crafts I made or recieved recently. It is about 1,70 x 1,10 m big and is made from a window frame that was left from a window that we took out. It looks quite empty on the pictures yet but I am working on filling it!
An der Wand neben der Tür habe ich zwei hohe Expedit Regale von Ikea mit einigen niedrigeren Schränkchen dazwischen. In den hohen Regalen bewahre ich mein Designpapier auf - die Expedit Regale sind von der Größe her perfekt für die 12 x 12 Papierblöcke.
Zwischen den hohen Regalen habe ich mir eine Art Pinnwand für Karten und Kreationen, die ich vor kurzem gemacht oder bekommen habe, gebaut. Es ist etwa 1,70 x 1,10 m groß und aus einem alten Fensterrahmen gebaut, den wir nicht mehr benötigten, weil wir das Fenster zugemauert haben. Auf dem Bild sieht die Pinnwand noch recht leer aus, aber ich arbeite daran, sie zu füllen!
In the cupboards I store my Cricuts and cartridges, some boxes with
Stickles etc and a few 12 x 12 stackable plastic containers that I use
to store my designer's papers that I already used a piece of, seperated
by colors:
In den niedrigeren Schränken bewahre ich meine Cricuts mit den
Cartridges, einige Boxen mit Stickles etc und einige stapelbare 12 x 12
Plastikboxen, in denen ich meine bereits angeschnittenen
Designpapierbögen, sortiert nach Farben, aufhebe:
On the wall at the opposite of my craft desk I have another combination of boards. There are two high Expedit and 4 square Expedit shelves and on top of the lower ones 4 Billy shelves. In there I store my stamps, sorted in DVD cases and boxes and on top big jars with my paper flowers:
An der Wand gegenüber meines Schreibtisches steht eine weitere Schrank-Kombination. Diesmal aus zwei hohen und 4 quadratischen Expedit-Regalen und darauf aufgesetzt 4 Billy Regalen. Darin hebe ich meine Stempel, sortiert in DVD Boxen und kleinen Kästchen auf, und obenauf große Gläser mit Papierblumen:
My plain cardstock are stored in the Expedit on the right and the A4-Cardstock in these magazine boxes - some for unused cardstock and some for leftover pieces:
Meinen einfarbigen Cardstock bewahre ich im rechten Expedit-Regal auf und die A4-Bögen in Magazinsammlern auf, einige für neue Bögen, andere für bereits angeschnittene:
The other high shelve is used for some embellishment storage:
Das andere hohe Regal beinhaltet einige meiner Embellishments:
And in all the shelves I didn't open is stored stuff like Magazins, binders with Clear Stamps, photo stuff and more embellishments. And as you can see, there isn't much room for new stuff left, something I could never imagine when I saw all the empty shelves once they were put up.
In all den Regalen, deren Türen auf den Fotos geschlossen blieben, ist weiteres Material wie Magazine, Ordner mit Clear Stamps, Fotoapparat und Co und natürlich mehr Verzierungen. And wie Ihr sehen könnt, sind fast alle Regale voll - etwas, das ich mir nie vorstellen konnte als ich all die leeren Regale vor dem Einräumen sah.

And at the end I want to proove that my craft room isn't always that clean and tidy. I make a mess when I craft with opened doors everywhere, a desk full to the brim... The bigger the mess the more creative I get. But I also like to clean it up after a project is fnished. So, are you ready for some mess?
Und am Ende meines Posts möchte ich Euch noch zeigen, dass mein Zimmer nicht immer so aufgeräumt ist. Wenn ich bastle schaffe ich in Null-Komm-Nix ein Riesenchaos, mit zig geöffneten Schranktüren und einem übervollen Tisch... Je größer das Chaos, desto kreativer werde ich. Aber wenn mein Projekt dann fertig ist, räume ich auch immer brav wieder auf. Also, bereit fürs Chaos?
