Travel suitcase tutorial

Today it's my turn to show you something I've made;
A travel suitcase with winegums

I have made several pictures during the making of my suitcase to
show you how it works, hope you like it all!

First take a piece of cardstock of 13 x 25 cm.
Score at 0,5 - 10,5 - 12 - 13,5 - 23,5  cm.
Cut at the right end of the cardstock a handle (4cm wide with rounded corners).
Fold the lines as the example below.

Use a piece of terrible tacky tape to stick the cardpocket filled with
winegums in the suitcase.

Then put two pieces of terrible tacky tape on the left and
right side of het hanle and close the suitcase.

Decorate the suitcase in your own way, on the
pictures below you can see my suitcase with decoration.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day all!

Hugs,

Gift Bag For Boys!

Hello everyone, I have been doing some spring cleaning through my crafting stash and discovered some older papers and I hate wasting. So after donating some supplies I pulled some older papers out and got to work creating some gift bags. Altered journals/books are another great way to use up your older stash and they make great gifts too!

I used 'Lazy Summer Days' to make a gift bag for a little boy.

A quick and easy way to make gift bags is to buy premade ones that can be altered, I have done this and my bag measures 200mm x 250mm. Firstly I removed the red twine as it didn't go with my colours, then I adhered patterned paper measuring 200mm x 250mm to cover the entire bag.

I replaced the red twine with some gold ribbon.

My image 'Lazy Summer Days' has been coloured with Copics. To finish it off I randomly stamped 'French Vintage Postmarks', mounted it on patterned paper and machine stitched around the edges.

To complete my bag I adhered some flowers, I used the 'Rolled Scalloped Flower' Die-Light to create my maroon flower and finished it off with a tag 'Sweet Tags with Hearts' , 'Button Twine - Vintage Linen' and sentiment 'General Sayings II'.

Now I have a gift bag ready for those special occasions and a great way to use up some older supplies!

Tutorial July

TUTORIAL JULY

http://www.marions-scrapkaarten.blogspot.nl/

Today I want to show you how to make a home decoration using Whiff of Joy products.
I came across a home decoration set in a local store and it was lovely in white :).
Still I wanted to give it my own touch and decorate it.
You can do this with every decoration you see in a store.

To get started you need an item you want to decorate and papers:

You start by drawing the decoration on the back side of the paper and do this with every item you want to decorate.

I had a hick up with the letter E, since I forgot te flip the letter :)
I should have reversed the letter before I draw the outlines.

Now cut the lines, since I liked the white to come out a bit, I cut it a little shorter than the lines.
Finally, I tried if the papers fitted:

Now you can start decorating it.
I did an extra step and handstitched the sides of papers, since I love the stitched look, but it is an extra step and up to you.

This is how the endresult looks:

Detailed alphabet photos:

I hope I have given you some inspiration.
Till next month,
Happy crafting,
Hugs,
Marion
