Flip Top Box

Hallo
Hello
hier ist Sabine. Und heute bin ich dran,
euch ein Tutorial zu zeigen
Sabine here. Today it's my turn to show you a tutorial.

Ich nehme unten die Vorlage und schneide mein Papier
entsprechend aus
I take the draft on the bottom and cut my papers like it's shown on the draft.

Da ja ein Fenster drin ist,
lege ich eine Stanzform auf und kurbel es durch die Big Shot
Because there's a hole in it,
I put a die on it and crank it through the Big Shot

Für die Öffnung habe ich ein Stück durchsichtige Folie zurechtgeschnitten
Diese klebe ich nun von innen auf die Öffnung
I cut out a piece of see-through film for the opening
I'm now glueing the see-through film on the opening from the inside

Dann wird gefaltet und verklebt.
Than you plait and glue everything.

Karina's Creative Space

 Karina Lange

Hello, Karina here, and welcome to my creative space...my little island where I am surrounded with my rubber, papers and more, where I just feel good and can leave my daily routine behind me. In January I started to reorganize my crafting area and first wanted to show some before and after pictures. But now when I see how it turned out I decided to only show how it looks like now (too messy before, and believe me you don't want to see that! ;o). There are still some things to do. I want to label all my boxes, some are already made, some not. Believe me it doesn't look that tidy all the time. But I try to keep it more tidy in future now I have reorganized my stuff.

So, here we go... on the first picture you can see my craft table where I also have my computer. On the left of the table I have my sewing machine. On the right side you can see my cutting area. On the left side of the photo you can see one of my big shelf where I store some of my stamps in little plastic boxes. On the right side halfway under the table I have a shelve for 12 x 12 papers.

Another big shelf where I store papers and other stuff. In the wooden boxes I store my charms and other small things.

And a third shelf where I store more stamps in ring binder.

On the other side of the room I have more shelves where I keep my 6x6 paperpads, flowers, ribbons, lace, inkpads and other little things. In the mulitcoloured boxes I keep more little stuff I need for embellishing like embossing powders, Bling Bling and so on.

In front you can see two mobile file cabinets to replace them when I for example need them at the side of my working desk. One of those cabinets is my die cutting place, the other one behind is my hot gluing place.

Here I keep my cardstock and more 12 x 12 papers.

Well, that's it... it was a pleasure to show you around in my little crafting area.

Hugs, Karina

A Gift Box using Simply Maya "First Date"...

Morning all....

Vicky here today....and I thought I share with you a paper mache box I have decorated using one of Simply Maya digi stamps..

and here it is...

and here are the items I used..

And here is how I made it..

Diecut your elements..

1} Decorate the sides of the box with your papers of choice.
2} Stick the border strips along the edge of the box, then follow around with lace if desired.
3} Tie some button twine around the box {I went round twice} then tie a large bow.
4} Thread the charm and tie to twine {I find it easier do it that way...!!}.

Decorate your lid of the box with your chosen image and arrange your pretty elements..

here is a close up of the elements I used and also my Copics..

and here is the finished box...
and for more details please pop over to my blog here

Hope you all enjoyed my tutorial...and have a lovely day too..

Tutorial soap box with a window

Today it's my turn to show you something I've made;
a decorated soap box.
First you need a piece of cardstock of 16 x 18 cm.
Score lines as shown below on the picture.
Then cut it out as shown below
(I am sorry, I rotated the cardstock 180 degrees on the following picture)
and use one of your dies to cut a window in it.
(be sure you leave 1 cm to the folds uncut or you will see the edges of the box
throuth the window).
Place a piece of acetate (or in my case a sheet of gelatine from the supermarket)
behind the window.
And finally fold the box into each other and place some
sticky tape on the fold you see completely right on the picture above.

Now you can decorate the box following your personal taste, with
stamps, die-lights, flowers, charms and stuff.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Hugs,
