Advent Calender - day 23

Welcome to the 23rd day of our Advent Calender! Wow, Christmas is really getting close now...

I altered 3 little boxes with pattern papers from Fancy Pants Design. 

On the biggest box I used the new ministamp "Wee and Reindeer". If you want a chance to win this stamp, please leave a message on this post.

I used the following Sew Sweet products on the boxes: red gingham ribbon, ivory grosgrain, white seam binding, a red button and silver eyelets on the smallest box.

The leaves and swirl are made with a Tim Holtz die.

 The ticket and paperclip are from Tim Holtz. The wooden angel was a sticker on a present I received once.

 Here I used a Christmas Postage Stamp, along with the matching die.

 In one box I storage little clothespins which I use to hang my Christmascards.

Advent Calendar Day 21

Hi and welcome to Day 21 of the Whiff of Joy Advent Calendar. It's Alice here to open today's calendar window for you. =)

I made a card with the beautiful Santa Lucia. She is a darling, isn't she? =) This is also the prize for today, so don't forget to leave a comment in this post for a chance to receive sweet Santa Lucia!

She is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then cut and embossed using a Labels 17 die.

 I inked the piece with Antique Linen, Tea Dye and Gathered Twigs distress inks when the paper was still in the die.

The patterned paper is from Wonder 6x6 Paper Pad by Authentique and the sentiment is from Christmas Dance image and sentiment set.

Advent Calendar Window 19

Hi everyone! It's Sandie here and I am hosting the Whiff of Joy Advent Calendar for Window 19. I have used one of my all time favourite Christmas Stamps from Whiff of Joy  - Willow With Lantern and coloured her up with copic markers. 

  

My papers are Cosmo Cricket 'Mitten Weather' and they've been machine stitched onto red, white and green cardstock. The inside is designed to match the front of the card. 

I wanted to keep the card clean and simple so that the image was the focal point, therefore I've only added some seam binding and just a few flowers for embellishment.

Oggi voglio mostrarvi il tutorial per realizzare una card portacandeline.

E' molto facile e può essere un'idea carina per un regalo.

Per questo lavoro ho utilizzato "Willow with Christmascandle".







Today I want show you a tutorial to make a lightcandel holder card.

It's very simple and it can be a cute idea for a gift.

For this creation I used "Willow with Christmascandle"









Tagliate un pezzo di cartoncino di 7 1/2 x 10






Cut a piece of cardstock at 7 1/2 x 10











Sul lato lungo piegate alle misure indicate.







On the long side score at the indicate mesures of the photo.











Ruotate il cartoncino sul lato corto e piegate secondo le misure indicate.







Rotate the cardstock on the short side and score at the indicated mesures.











Ora con le forbici tagliate come indicato nella foto.







Now with the scissors cut as indicated in the photo.







Dopo il taglio questo è il risultato.







After the cut this will be the result.











Con l'aiuto di un cutter o delle forbici, tagliate una finestra lasciando per ogni lato un margine di 1/4.







With the help of a cutter or of the scissors, cut a window leaving for each side a 1/4 border.











Ora tagliate un pezzo di acetato di 1 3/4 x 5 7/8 e incollatelo sulla finestra con del nastro biadesivo.







Now cut a piece of acetate of 1 3/4 x 5 7/8 and stick it on the window with a double side adhesive tape.











Rivoltate in cartoncino e aggiungete il nastro biadesivo come nella foto.







Turn over the cardstock and add a double side adhesivee tape as in the photo.











Per il top tagliate un pezzo di cartoncino di 6 1/2 x 6 e piegate sul lato lungo a 5 3/4.







For the top cut a piece of 6 1/2 x 6 of cardstock and score at 5 3/4 on the long side.











Lungo la linea di piegatura usate il nastro biadesivo per unire il top e la parte che contiene le candeline.







On the score line put the double side adhesive to bind the top and the lightcandle holder.











Ora la vostra card portacandeline è pronta e voi potete decorarla come più vi piace.  







Now your lightcandle holder card is ready and you can decorate it as you like the most.

14.Dezember

Von drauß, vom Walde komm ich her;
ich muss euch sagen, es weihnachtet sehr!
  All überall auf den Tannenspitzen
sah ich goldene Lichtlein sitzen,
und droben aus dem Himmelstor
sah mit großen Augen das Christkind hervor.
Und wie ich so strolcht durch den finsteren Tann,
da rief's mich mit heller Stimme an:
"Knecht Ruprecht", rief es, "alter Gesell,
hebe die Beine und spute dich schnell!
Die Kerzen fangen zu brennen an,
das Himmelstor ist aufgetan,
Alte und Junge sollen nun
von der Jagd des Lebens einmal ruhn;
und morgen flieg' ich hinab zu Erden,
denn es soll wieder Weihnachten werden!"

Türchen No.14 von unserem Whiff of Joy Adventskalender öffnet sich

und es verbirgt sich einer der neuen Mini Stempel  dahinter.

 Und es gibt auch dieses mal wieder einen kleinen Workshop von mir dazu
Die Idee habe ich von meiner lieben Freundin Ivi, von ihr hatte ich einen Adventskalender aus Tunfischdosen  bekommen, das fand ich so genial, das musste ich unbedingt auch machen....
da bei uns aber mehr Pilze gegessen werden , habe ich so eine Dose genommen *hihi*
Also.......
Ihr braucht eine Konservendose mit Zipverschluss und einen Dosenöffner.Mein Dosenöffner trennt den Deckel so von der Dose, dass er noch als "Verschluss" brauchbar ist. Somit kann ich den Deckel zum Schluss wieder auf die Dose kleben......

 Dann braucht ihr etwas Zubehör um eure Dose zu verschönern

Zum guten Schluss füllt ihr die Dose mit den Dingen die ihr verschenken wollt und klebt den Deckel wieder auf die Dose, fertig ist eine originelle Geschenkidee.

Advent Calendar Day 12

It's time to open Day 12 of the Advent Calendar and today I get to be your host.

For my creation I have used the mini Praying Angel stamp and have a tutorial for you on how to make a Christmas Cracker.

Supplies Needed : 2 Toilet paper rolls, Piece of wrapping paper, ribbon, embellishments, small toy, paper hat, cracker stick.

Cut one toilet paper roll in half so you have three sections. Fill the middle part with the tissue paper hat, small toy (deck of cards,etc) and the cracker part.

Apply double stick tape to the top edge and attached the roll leaving a little bit more space between the sections than shown.

Continue to roll it up and cl0se it shut with double stick tape and trim off any excess on ends.

Tie the ends up with ribbon and decorate the cracker.

Here is the finished product. I added a paper doily, one of the Whiff of Joy banners and a gold snowflake and pearl brad. If you're interested in winning this adorable stamp featured here, please leave your name below, good luck!
