Lori here with a tutorial for a simple square shaped gift basket. Perfect for adding those small little gifts, cards or treats!
To begin you need a 12x12 piece of heavy designer paper or cardstock. Score at 4" and 8" and then turn it right once and do the same 4" and 8" as shown so you will have 9 squares scored off. Now cut on the four lines I have highlighted in white and pointed to with arrows. Just cut 4 inches in.

Fold the next section up tucking one side in as you go. the arrows are just to show you to apply glue or double stick tape to the inside piece before you fold up the next section.

You can then add ribbon or lace to the centre. I attached the handle using a pearl brad. Just line it up to the top centre of the side and use a pin or tack to set your hole and then replace with a brad.

Now all that's left is to decorate the front of your basket. I have used WOJ's new
Dancing with the Gingerbread man.
I added some homemade chocolate chip cookies and thought this would be great for teachers or coaches. Wouldn't gingerbread men be cute too? I hope you'll give it a try!
