Copics und Polychromos kombiniert

Today I would like to show you a slightly different colouring technique. I have presently purchased Copics, but I have found myself struggling to achieve some depth when applying shadows to the image. I then came up with the idea to replace the non existing shadows with Polychromos…..
My first step was to stamp my image with the Memento stamping cushion
~~~~~
Heute mag ich euch mal eine etwas andere colorations Technik zeigen.
Seit neuestem besitze ich ja die Copics, nur habe ich mit denen sooft das Problem, tiefe durch Schatten in die Motive zu bekommen. Da kam mir die Idee genau diese fehlenden Schatten mit Polychromos zu setzen...
Als erstes Stempel ich mein Motiv mit dem Memento Stempelkissen
Then I coloured the image with the Copic pens
~~~~~
Dann coloriere ich das Motiv mit den Copic Stiften
Followed by applying shadows and accentuations with the Polychromos,
~~~~~
Anschließend setze ich mit den Polychromos Schatten und Akzente,
Which I smudged with the paper wiper soaked in baby oil. I repeat this process until I am happy with the results...
~~~~~
welche ich dann mit dem Papierwischer, den ich in Babyöl getränkt habe, verwische.
Dies wiederhole ich solange, bis ich mit meinem Ergebnis zufrieden bin...

  9. Your tutorial is beautiful.I am saddened that you have not been able to blend your copics. They are not difficult if you use the proper paper. Perhaps that has been the problem. Cryogen white works beautiful for shading. You may also use Beckett or Nina and others. Just hoping to help with the Copics.

  10. I loved your tutorial. After going back over Marianne's blog, I, too, look for ways to get more c ontrast to the finished art piece. Bringing attention to details definitely adds to the beauty of the art. Thanks for reinforcing tis principle for me. Love your blog!
